First Amendment Goes too Far...

Frankly, I've seen this coming for a long time. What did you expect would happen when an entire generation is shaped by enforced political correctness (can't dare voice an opinion about anything controversial because someone might be offended), zero tolerance BS where drawing a picture of a gun or having a GI Joe 1" plastic gun is treated the same as actually having a real gun, where a student can get suspended for taking a cold medication, where 1st graders are kicked out of school for "sexual harassment", where metal detectors and warrantless searches are a daily fact of life, etc. Both liberals and conservatives have been sowing the seeds for this for a long time, and I don't think it's going to get any better as these kids age.

I've been sitting on this all day and what completely baffles me is that I remember doing a study of the Constitution in junior year of high school. I remember doing a lighter study of the Constitution in eigth grade. I remember learning about why the Bill of Rights is what it is in elementary school. Hell, I even remember learning about what would happen to dissidents in the Soviet Union shortly after the fall. (Ironically, the coup happened about a week before we started the unit in grade seven.)

It could have been me. I do tend to be an information sponge which fools people into thinking I'm a lot smarter than I really am so maybe I just picked up the information easily.

But judging from the rest of you, it does seem that my "What the f***?!?!" reaction isn't completely unjustified.

I mean how does this "go too far?"

Article [I.]
