Steering the thread back on track; I read "Father Ted" had a lot of fans in the clergy, but I wonder if any Catholics got offended by it. I know I probably would, if I was a devout Catholic.

Some people are offended by everything and anything.

I think that most catholics with any kind of a sense of humor would enjoy it, and probably get a lot more of the in-jokes than the rest of us do.

Anyway, I hope they take the chance and watch it if they haven't already.

I'm pretty sure if you liked Black Books, you like Spaced.

Not necessarily, I loved Father Ted and Black Books, but Spaced was just too smarty pants up itself for me.

The (IMHO) much underrated Big Train is by the same writers and definitely worth seeing

Absolutely, 100%

Also, as the poster above mentioned, Big Train, which is a comedy sketch show.

There's also Brass Eye, which is brilliant. I don't know which parts they wrote but there presence is there, along with the fantastic Armando Ianucci and Chris Morris.
