How many aside from me think that the real issue this fall is the ability to appoint more Supreme Court justices?

The house will remain resolutely fascist, there's no doubt about that, the only question is the Senate.

So who do they think will be replaced in the next 2 years?
 
I will vote for a Republican to replace Nancy Pelosi, but I'm not optimistic.

I understand you are stating support for the corporate fascists. I must admit I'm not overly fond of Pelosi, but do you really want to give even more power to the people who want you to starve without medical care?

If I wanted to support corporate fascists, Pelosi would have my vote.
 
Well, I don't think a reply is appropriate here. One can not respond to either determined delusion or determined contrariness.
 
Pelosi, of course, is also in the House, not the Senate. But that's a horse of another kingdom.
 
Pat Roberts from Kansas looks like he might be replaced by an independent, if the Democrat is allowed to withdraw his name from the ballot, which he is still attempting to do.

Roberts has no connection whatsoever with Kansas. He lives in Virginia and basically only lived here for a short time prior to his initial election. It's sort of bizarre that he lasted this long, actually. The problem is that he only gets challenged by nutcases like Wolfe in the primaries (too nutty even for Kansas), and Kansas is too damn red to vote for a blue senator. Technically, I'm not even sure Roberts should be eligible, but that won't stop this state from declaring that he is even if he's technically not by most measures. His Kansas "address" is a front, not an actual residence. The trouble with this state is that one political party overpowers the other so much that they can be pretty much as corrupt as they want to be. That isn't to say all of them are all of the time, mind you.

The other senator from Kansas is completely secure, and not nearly as bad as some... way to conservative for my taste, but neither a complete idiot nor a scammer.

We need more True Americans like Rehnquist, Scalia, Thomas, Alito and Roberts on the court to continue voting on the wrong side of every civil rights decision. For this reason we should definitely elect another Republican for president.

Without opining on whether those cases were decided correctly, I'll note only that the damage caused by incorrectly upholding a state law (as conservatives are prone to do) is generally less than the damage caused by incorrectly upholding a Federal law (as progressives are prone to do).

Other pressures can be brought to bear by people outside the state in order to induce change (e.g. boycotts), and for the people in the state, it is usually possible to vote with one's feet.

Is there a Supreme Court justice likely to retire/die in the next 2 years?

I am going to vote for 'Kodos' this November that way I cannot be blamed for any of the bad stuff that will happen after the election.
