This all comes down to the fact that Trump lies. All the time and about everything.

He was never "supporting American business", just his covering his own arse.

He never supported American small businesses. They do nothing for him so he will do nothing for them. And all his businesses are offshore anyway.

He was never about onshoring American jobs. Every thing he has ever done reduces jobs and makes the prospect of onshoring even less likely.

He's a liar, through and through. Americans need to learn a LOT more skepticism about their politicians. They are, for the most part, crooks and conmen. They are not your favourite football team who you support no matter what.

I get the impression, based mainly on movies, that Americans at an early age are groomed into always trying to get on the (imaginary) good side of the bully who steals their lunch money.

US Trump-voting farmers expect another tax-funded bailout, when climate and Trump conspire mercilessly against them. But all government handouts are socialism which is to be eradicated, at gunpoint if necessary. So I guess they will get Donny's hopes and prayers now? Or a couple of rolls of toilet paper tossed at them at a press conference?

Yes, US farmers, that big spotted cat chomping on your leg is what you voted for. Be glad you did, and that you are killing socialism as a result. Oh, and put your hand away - this administration doesn't pay out-of-work beggars.

Even if Trump & co want to make payments will there still be the staff who can manage such payments? Or are they going to hire a "man and a van" load it with wads of notes and get him to drive through the likes of Kansas throwing them at anyone they see who looks like a farmer (straw-hat, denim dungarees and chewing a stalk of corn)?
