Email telepathy experiment, anyone?

I could receive calls during 8:00 to 11:00 CST (13:00 to 16:00 GMT) but not make them. My employer forbids making personal long distance calls on their line.
We're going to do an email telepathy experiment, not telephone telepathy. Does that change your best times?

Me too if there's room!

Best times are 1900 to 2100 Central Daylight Time, 0400 to 0600 GMT (I hope I figured that out right, since I understand GMT doesn't go on daylight savings.)

I could do this just about any time. For no particular reason, I'll pick 10:00 MST (1700 GMT).

Have no hotmail or g.mail accounts. Never heard of them. Sorry.
Not to worry, Jeff. I had neither, either, but it took two minutes to create a Gmail account. Don't let that stop you. :D

I am in Oxford, England, UK (this week - subject to change)
I can make myself available at any time required - have alarm clock, will sleep by pc if necessary.

Yes. Drop the 7:00 to 7:30 CST. The 8 to 11 CST time is still okay and I could be either sender or receiver for email. I'm also usually available during the afternoons, but not always, which is why I didn't list it.

Oh great. With all the psychic transmissions and skeptical anti-psi waves being generated during this experiment, you guys are going to make it VERY hard for the telepaths to maintain communcation during this time.

Well, good luck.

Change mine to 10 A.M. MST through 11 P.M. MST

I have Yahoo email. Will that work? Do I need to get another account?

Listener, run an experiment on your Yahoo email account. Compose a message to yourself and note the time. Wait five minutes before sending it, also noting the time. Then, once you receive the email, make sure the time of the message is the time you sent it, not the time you composed it. If so, then you should be fine.

Thanks Paul. I did the Yahoo experiment, made an adjustment to my time, and now it works. Also, I should tell you that I have a Mac. Will that work with your software?

No special software involved. The entire experiment is just a matter of us sending emails to one another, with one of us recording the results.

I'm in, 0900 - 1700 AEST (2300 - 0700 GMT). I can't get access to gmail or any other external service provider at work and don't have reliable access at home.

Also, work is kinda busy, so a response may be a little delayed. You'll have to notify me telepathically when you send me an email so that I know it's there. :) Shall I PM you my work address?

If the experiment was a success, the volunteers would have spontaneously accepted before seeing the post.

It seems to me that there is a potential flaw in this experiment. Do any of you who are participating in it claim to have ever experienced email telepathy or to have experienced it regularly? Personally, I have never experienced anything that I thought involved email telepathy, so I would not volunteer to participate. What is the use of scientifically testing for an alleged ability that the test subjects do not even claim to have or to have ever experienced? Seems pretty worthless to me. Now, if you could find a group of people who claim to be email telepathy virtuosos, you could design a scientific test that could show if their claims to have this ability are real or not.
