• Quick note - the problem with Youtube videos not embedding on the forum appears to have been fixed, thanks to ZiprHead. If you do still see problems let me know.

Email telepathy experiment, anyone?

One way to minimize delays and clock drift is to let all participants use the same online mail provider (Hotmail, Gmail...) with accounts they set up just for the experiment.

Okay then, we have enough participants. If any more of you want to join in, just post here.

Good idea to use Hotmail or Gmail accounts, Matt.

I'll work on a protocol over the next few days. Each of you needs to post your best times for participation. If we do, say, four trials each session, you'll need 40 minutes available. Post your best times in both your local time zone and GMT.

Everyone should realize that we'll never be able to publish this study, because there will be no safeguards against cheating except for us ratting on each other.

Post your locations and best times this way:

I am in Carlisle, Massachusetts, USA
Best times:
10:00 EST, 14:00 GMT
20:00 EST, 00:00 GMT

Here's how to find GMT: http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/

Sorry, going to have to pull out. Just remembered I'm going to be away quite a bit over the next few eeks, so difficult to pin down times.

Best time for me to make or receive is 7:00 to 7:30 CST (12:00 to 12:30 GMT).

I could receive calls during 8:00 to 11:00 CST (13:00 to 16:00 GMT) but not make them. My employer forbids making personal long distance calls on their line.

I'm in.

I hope that's not violating Metullus' copyrights. :)
Yes. Yes it is.

You'll be hearing from my attorneys. Just as soon, that is, as they are done helping Uri with his copyright battles...

ETA:

Sonoma County, California
