I'm vegan, but no one ever talks about the price of chickpeas.
Be careful from saying that if you live in the USA - you'll be deported as an illegal alien!
In the USA, eggs are required to be washed (to reduce the risk of salmonella). Washing eggs removes a coating from the shell that prevents bacteria from getting through the shell. Therefore, the eggs need to be refrigerated. In much of the rest of the world, eggs are not washed so they don't need refrigeration.
Yeah just read up on it. Different strokes for different yolks.

Won't have to worry about international markets for agricultural products either, You will get to keep it all for yourselves to feed the starving masses that have not been able to afford groceries for 4 years.
Yeah, those "groceries cost too much!" people who just blew thousands on travel and lodging in DC to attend the inauguration and be told they should regard their tickets as souvenirs instead. Lots of leopard-bitten faces moaning about those expenses today!

I was trying to think of something that tariffs might not increase the price of, it might actually be eggs.

Not according to renowned economic analysts The Barenaked Ladies, who observe that Chickety China (the Chinese Chicken) will likely be subject to tariffs.

Unfortunately, the majority of the cost of egg production lies in housing, feed, manure management systems, lighting, climate control, etc. all of which are hardly produced domestically.

Most of that that is already baked in though, and I'd bet housing, feed, and manure, is all handled on site.

A dozen large store-brand eggs at Market Basket today was $5.99. Strangely, I was able to get a dozen name-brand large eggs for $3.99. It's only the store-brand eggs that are going up. Also, there was no store-brand chicken except for drumsticks. It's not politics, people, it's bird flu!

I had great hopes when I went to the grocery store this afternoon, but alas the price of eggs hadn't changed. In fact, I ran up my all-time greatest grocery bill. I guess that ending the Russia-Ukraine war within 24 hours of taking office must have taken a lot out of the President, so maybe I should have given him another day to fix grocery prices.

They're busy trying to get the Diet Coke button reinstalled and working.
Unfortunately the soda summoning technician turned out to be a "diversity hire" and had to go. Doctors estimate Trump can live for up to three hours without quenching his thirst with the delicious taste of a bubbly Diet Coke, the only diet soda to naturally contain pethridanizircodinecticalodidantroxitane, a natural chemical naturally grown to naturally enhance brain function.

Trump voters voted for Trump because the price of eggs was too high.
That's a vast oversimplification. I wonder if starting a debate with an oversimplification will lead to enlightening discussion.

I lie. Of course it won't.

So it is really Fauci and his latest bioweapon causing the price of eggs to go up.

Right? People voted for Trump cause they're gullible idiots, not because of eggs. What a ludicrous claim.

Unfortunately, the poll already closed, so it's too late to add something about renaming the Gulf of Mexico.

I think you need to have a standard for this so that you can compare everyday.
Yep.

Thanks, shemp.
