Since Kitten has severe dyslexia, books aren't always the way to go.

I'm finding a lot of great videos that compliment her reading, so that when she does read about something...she has a good "picture" in her head.

Youtube has the great series, "The SEcret Life of Machines"

A really fun series when it was on, and for the "rest of us" a good way to understand things like how the radio works.

Anyone else have any reccomendations?

Nova's, The Standard Deviant's On (lots of stuff), if your Public Library is properly supported it should have a S888-load of good educational vids of various topics and levels.

BrainPop

The History Channel, Discovery Channel, and PBS all have teacher resources to go with their programming. Netflix carries a lot of educational videos, including NOVA and PBS documentaries. There are lots of good video resources out there. I use them to supplement my homeschooled daughter's reading, particularly in history and science. Good luck!
