I can see Hingham from my house, so I'm refined.
I can see the route 3 overpass, so I am ...sad.

check that damage!
I was in the shower and didn't feel it, but my son did, his computer monitor and tv stand started to vibrate.
You east coasters crack me up.
I chatted with a friend who was working with a transmission electron microscope during my first earthquake (on the phone with Grandpa while chatting with a biologist--it got weird). Apparently TEMs don't like to be shaken. Especially not on the 9th floor.
East Weymouth people have no feelings!![]()
It has been pretty boring around here lately, no hurricanes or good storms this year just yet. . . So anything new is Welcome.

Let's see...4.0 earthquake + 0.5 guitar quake.I guess we just had a (preliminary) 4.5 earthquake in Maine. I'm practicing my guitar and the whole house shook.

If it turned everything sideways like that, I'd say it was more than a 4.5.

In Montreal, I heard a BOOM, then the apartment vibrated. A bag of chips fell off the shelf.
I don't know why I woke up in time to hear the boom though. Is there something that preceeds the sound waves?
