What he said he wants is to see a map that makes the Israelis look just as bad as the Palestinians do when you see one of their maps of "Palestine" that coveres all of Israel. Further, he wants that map to be the "official" Israeli government map of Israel.

Can someone explain the Six Day War for me? I've tried very hard but have admitted defeat...

I'm being a bit curious now, but presumably, if we see the occupying populations of Israel as illegal, it is no different then the occupying persons of the UK, the US and Eygpt as illegal?

That said, would it not be humane of us to understand the bitterness many must feel toward Israel is at least understandable?

I don't think it is unreasonable for the losing side in a war to feel bitter toward the victors.

I won't try to explain the Six Day war until maybe tonight, when I have some time to be very careful with the analysis. It is a very tall order, flavored with a variety of Cold War seasoning. Things are rarely as simple as they seem.
