Hi folks,

Apparently, someone has found a turtle with the image of the devil on its shell. The real kicker is that it wasn't there, the turtle survived a fire in the pet store, and now it is there...

CNN.com article

I can see what looks like two eyes and two horns, but its a pretty big stretch to say its the devil...

Good morning.

From the picture on CNN, the first image I saw was a donkey. Then a bull. If you flip it over, it looks like a rather large naked women. How long before this is on Ebay?

Of course, we only have the owner's word that the shell didn't look like that before the fire. Funny how you don't notice some things until you have a reason to take a closer look. Plus, if the turtle had survived some other natural distaster, its owner would probably have seen a different image.

Good morning.

Oh yeah of course I forgot to ask, What does Satan look like again?

[Data]I find it curious that humanoids seek out images in patterns that are essentially random. Besides, it is clearly a bunnyrabbit.[/Data]

how come no one ever looks at Jesus and sees a grilled cheese sandwich or at the devil and sees Tippy the Turtle (draw me!)

Good work Satan!

That should certainly get people flocking to Satanism

(He's obviously on a recruitment drive what with Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince coming out soon and now Lucky the turtle).

Incidentally isn't this a bit of a rose tinted specs scenario? They seem to be saying Lucky is lucky because he survived the fire.

But if you had recently been in fire and had an image of Satan burned onto your back... would you describe yourself as 'lucky'?

Because I consider myself lucky that all of that hasn't happened to me.

I had a red eared slider when I was little. I once picked it up to kiss it on the lips, and it bit my lip, scaring me, and I dropped it on the cement, making a small dent in its shell. It was OK though.

I think we both learned something.

I don't see it.

I did, however, once see the devil in a black velvet dress.

And she looked nothing like the #@$^@#% turtle.
