David Icke

That's pretty much the same reaction I had to him. Well, before I realised that the Reptiles were our last and only line of defense against the Grays!

Isn´t it nearly unbelievable John Carpenter made his movie "They Live" some years before David got his awakening?
Some guys really shouldn´t watch these kind of movies - may give some bad dreams.
Maybe there are ghosts on Mars too...

Once I had, a little game
I liked to crawl back into my brain
I think you know the game I mean
I mean the game called 'go insane'

Also, the TV mini-series, V, in 1983.

I thought the Grays were sort of like sub-contractors to the Reptoids?

I've been away from the UFO stuff for too long.

Ahh, those were the days.

Henreeee! There's somebody knocking at the door!

Icke is more than somewhat unique, even by using the yardstick commonly applied toward the garden variety conspiracy theorist, as he seriously purports people to be actual transformers from reptilian specimens to humanoid ones.

To circumvent this bit of oddity that signifies the contenta of mr. Icke's claims, a few of his supporters/fans have (in my own experience) tried to interpret his views/claims/assertions as metaphorical. Furthermore, I've heard retorts that Icke's essential message about reptilian transformers is just that, allegorical.

This might sound plausible, had you not actually heard the man speak yourself, or read his writings.

no, nothing allegorical. I picked up one of his books, Children of the Matrix for a buck at the local library sale. There's nothing there to support that he has a sense of humor.

I can only read a few pages at a time.

(Amateur neurologist mode: I keep scanning his picture, thinking I see signs of asymmetry in his face--suggesting some head trauma or TLE. :D )

Well, he used to be a professional football goalkeeper, so it's not unlikely. He was a TV presenter, mostly on sport for the BBC, for a while after he retired from that (at only 21) before he went loopy.

yeah, last i heard the grays were working fo rthe reptoids in collecting humans for the reptoids to eat, it was on the internet, so it must be true

Icke doesn´t talk much about the reptiles any more, he´s replaced it with some metaphysics and quantum physics (which is actually quite valid in some cases)

There was some documentary when he said that the crowd would be dissapointed that he has changed his stuff.

If you look at the drawings (not photos!) of lizards in his books, they look identical to the ones in V. remember that the aliens in V came from Sirius? Well, so do Icke´s! bonkers.

David Icke is an ex-football (soccer) goalkeeper, turned pundit, turned nutcase.

He famously announced on the Wogan show that he was, in fact, the son of god. Ridiculed, he retreated into obscurity for a few years. Only to return to the public eye : 'enlightened.' He makes many claims about how Tony Blair, The Queen, Lord Rothschild and David Rockefellar are 'reptillian humanoids.' That is, shapeshifting reptiles who live in the core of the earth. He knows all the satanic bloodlines and has a cult following. He does not, curiously, provide any proof for his far out claims other than the occasional "well when backpacking in the Congo a man told me he saw a shape shifting reptile"

Amazingly, his books sell far and wide and sells out theatres when performing a lecture.

The mind boogles.

Icke was a TV Sports presenter (and former footballer) who detoured into politics (he was a speaker for the Green Party for a while). In 1991, he had what I'm guessing is a breakdown and became convinced that divinity was flowing through him. Because he was already a semi-celebrity he was able to appear on a primetime chatshow (Wogan). As a result of his appearance he became a national laughing stock. Instead of seeking help for his mental health issues he rationalised this experience into further delusions of an Illuminati-controlled media attempting to destroy him, the rest of his crazy ideas are just extrapolated from that.

He was recently re-interviewed by Terry Wogan (includes some of the original interview):

Also, Jon Ronson made an excellent documentary about him:

I'm jealous of David Icke. He has managed a thing that for most human beeings is a huge problem: "what do the other people think of me". He was forced to get rid of it because he had his "outcoming" in public on the Wogan Show, beeing a well known sports presenter. Whole UK laughed at him, not with him.

The Lizard stuff came later and it was only a facet of his "i report everything i come across" attitude. It's not the core of his message. The core is the way he thinks reality is working. I think his best speech was this, "Robots Rebellion" from 1994:

I dont't subscribe to all of his "conspiracy" stuff but i subscribe to his cosmogony. Hard to swallow for fundamentalist materialists. But at least he is one of very few Conspiracy Theorists who aren't christian fundamentalists.
