The Infinitely Prolonged
Well, don't all of y'all respond at once!!
I just realized I have another good window of time to doing things after 3:30 PM on Thursday. I don't know why I didn't notice that one, before! It's after my first volunteer shift is over, and I won't need to be back until close to 7 PM, when the Reception begins.
So, here is a rough draft of an events schedule. No tickets have been purchased yet, so nothing is carved in stone. If anyone wants to join me, they can. If you have a suggestion for another time for something, let me know and we can probably do that instead.
4:00 PM Thursday - Visit South Point. I would probably be back before 5:00 PM. But, if it takes a bit longer, that's fine. I will probably take a cab unless someone else volunteers a car.
9:30 PM Thursday - Insanity: The Ride. I will probably take the Monorail most of the way up there, and back. We should call ahead, first, to make sure it's open. Sometimes they close because of high winds or... accidents.
During a Break on Friday: ISF Group Photo: We'll work with management to choose which break, and to have the MC make an announcement for it.
10:00 PM Friday - Insanity: The Back-Up Plan. If the ride is closed on Thursday, we'll see if we can do it Friday, instead. The ride's hours run until 2 AM.
(11:30 PM on Saturday, after the Halloween Party, could be another possible back-up time for Insanity. But, I'd rather avoid that if possible.)
9:00 PM Sunday - Penn & Teller ? - Since my flight doesn't leave until early Monday, I think I could do this. However, I might prefer an earlier show of some sort, to be safe. And, this one is almost sold out, anyway. By the time we get our acts together, it might be gone.
So... if you're REALLY aiming to see P&T get your tickets NOW! Don't wait for me!!!
I miss the old days, when Forum activity schedules would take up whole corkboards.
I noticed the web site for Insanity: The Ride says this: "This ride is not recommended for guests with physical, mental, and/or medical limitations." So, in other words, you can't actually be insane to go on it.... huh...
