I can understand the skeptical viewpoint towards religion, but come on.

I just wish people would quit categorizing religious people into the same boat. I express the same frustration as you most of the time, and probably shake my head and wonder what is wrong with people like Pat Robertson, and other fundamentalists more then most on here, but I also understand that not all religious people are so dead-set against science.

Nor do they take everything in the Bible literally. There IS such a thing as being skeptical AND being religious.

My understanding was that this thread concerned creationist Ken Ham, a rabid fundamentalist. The discussion drifted to people of his same belief style and dogmatic theology. Is it possible you've read more into my actual comments than is there?

So you have any proof that Ken Ham expects God to FedEx him a cure? You do realize people who believe in such miracles, and refuse ANY medical help are few and far between?

And no I didn't read too far into your comments. JREF members have a habit of stereotyping religious people.

One must only read through the religious section to figure that out.

...and if it doesn't, then "Gawd must have had a reason for denying my prayer." Which should lead to the question "why pray in the first place?", but for some reason, it never does.
