I'm not sure what you are getting at. Like most scientific theories, evolution explains some things but not others. Abiogenesis has not been demonstrated to be true. Maybe in the future these theories will get better.

How are you using the word "abiogenesis"? There really can't be any doubt that life exists, so I think you may have something else in mind.

I think he was making a point that people who think evolution somehow also explains ambiogenisis refer to it as a theory in the common useage of the word.

are you seriously complaining that the Evolution theory does not explain something that is outside of the Evolution theory? really?

do you also complain that the Germ theory of disease does not explain how proto suns formed?

He's actually a Louisiana state senator, but the point stands. Louisiana's voucher program also allows state funds to go to religious schools that teach creationism

Abiogenesis has not been demonstrated to be true.

Abiogenesis is clearly true, unless you think life was present when the Earth was a molten globe with no liquid water. The precise sequence of events which led from inanimate matter to something we'd recognize as life is still an open research topic, but abiogenesis happened. Even if life on Earth originated elsewhere, that is beyond dispute.

A judge did declare it unconstitutional, and I believe it's currently before the Louisiana Supreme Court.
