Does anyone know why this weeks commentary hasn''t been posted? Is Randi taking a vacation or something? I don't mean to complain or anything, Randi definitely deserves any and all breaks he wants to take. But the weekly commentary is the high-light of my week; I love it and get excited every Friday waiting for it, and I can't help feeling at least a little disapointed.

Of course it is probably the case that it simply hasn't been posted yet and will be a little later this afternoon, or even this weekend. In which case I'll feel pretty stupid. But usually it's posted by now, so I was just curious.
 
I, too, look forward to the commentary every week. It is frustrating when it seems like it is forgotten. It used to be that the commentary had a predictable name so that if it was forgotten, you could still figure out how to get to it and read it anyways. I don't know why they added the random characters to the end of the file and what can be gained from preventing us from reading it.
 
The reason we changed the codes is that there are often changes between the time Jeff gets the page and he puts it "live", and Randi did not want drafts of the page being viewed before he gave his final approval. The page is late this week....we know. It was written and given to Jeff on Monday, and Jeff is out of town, so we're trying to reach him to find out why it's not up yet. We apologize for the inconvenience.
 
Aww, now what am I going to read on the train ride home? :(

Well, I guess it's not like I have a inalienable right to a weekly Commentary.

I didn't think it was all that boring, although I haven't read the book nor do I know much about the tests so maybe that's why.

Thanks for the explanation. But, it made me feel so special and sneaky to read it ahead of time.... maybe you could send me the code each week? ;)
