well, when I was a kid I remember seeing a G.I. Joe cartoon where this blob thing was crawling over the country side, eating everything in it's path and growing exponentially. The G.I. Joe crew had the brilliant idea to guide it to an apple orchard where it ate all the apple trees and it then died of cyanide poisoning.

Well, this at least gives me a starting point. Could you guesstimate the approximate metabolism of this blob? Was it very large, or about man-sized? How big was the orchard? What season was it, as this could have an effect on apple ripeness.

So I was thinking about this while eating my apple this morning and I was wondering how many apple seeds it would take to kill a man. For instance, could I take a few hundred seeds, toss them in the blender, add some of the apple, and serve up some sort of death smoothie?
