Brewer flap

I think it perfectly captures the attitude of the shrieking little twit from Arizona.

It's the definition of a strawman argument, is visually uninteresting, and puts so many words in the frame it might as well be a blog post. There is little to put this in the frame of Political Cartoon. It's awful.

I'd add to the list "painfully unsubtle." It really is the worst.

It would have been better just having the third panel alone.

The last time I remember Obama and Brewer talking it was clear he'd charmed her practically out of her knickers - his smile was dazzling, hers dazzled. That finger-wagging thing was theater for the same awful "base" that the GOP field seems to think is so important. I gave Brewer a little bit of credit a couple of years back - she fought the Legislature by supporting putting a sales tax measure to voters despite legislators' objections. I'm not fond of the woman but she could be worse.

The sales tax fight roughly coincided with Obama's first visit and his stimulus stump. I believe he laid the charisma on thick and made quite an impression on Jan. My guess is she that last week she wasn't really bawling him out - she was maybe even demonstrating that she feels comfortable enough with him to engage in a little mock-scolding.

Though I'm not crazy about Brewer as governor I don't completely absolve Janet Napolitano, who was Arizona's widely popular (and Democratic) governor before bailing on the state for a Cabinet job.

I just want to point out that Brewer's head is copy-pasted in the 2nd through last frames, and Obama's entire body is copy-pasted in EVERY frame he's present in. Such talent, such skill.

It's very simple. The radical right is so convinced that they can take over this country, if not by manipulating their victims, then by brute force, that they feel no more reason to be truthful, and are showing that their only trust is in their own brute force and barbarism.
What should they trust?

Too damn many progressive lefty-libs around. "shoot an automatic M-16" :D
