Bowling, Bowling, Bowling....

The dried pineapple travels very well, and the whole pineapples travel rather well, but you might have a problem getting into them. What sort of things do you want/need and does this constitute an acceptance of the side bet?
If I can bring a pack of Tim Tams 10,000 miles, you can bring a pineapple!

I am available to be drafted onto a team.

I was in a bowling league once. Granted it was in the early '70s and I sucked, but I did have the requisite bowling shirt.

I shall also stand around and point out that I was the first person to put forward the idea of a bowling tournament. I shall not point out that Hutch did all the work and that I did absolutely nothing to help.

A few decades ago, I won "Most Improved" when I bowled for my 8th grade team: my average went from 30-60. That being said, I will happily fling heavy objects at blameless wooden bits down long runways, should another body be needed to round out a team (and I am quite round, as well).

OK, last announcement before TAM:

1. When you register Thursday, I hope to have a little corner by Kittynh and the Forum table. I'll have a sign-in sheet with all the Forum names I have (about 45). Initial/sign-in so that (1) I know you are here and (2) Know you plan on showing up. Since we only have 45 (if the CPP clan makes it, we'll have 50) and I need 64 bowlers to break even, I will open it to any of the other 800 or so TAM attendees to fill out the roster. So if you plan on bowling, SIGN IN!!!

2. I'll also have a large poster board showing 16 lanes (I hope to have the numbers by Thursday) and 4 bowlers per lane. If you want to bowl as a group, FILL IT OUT!!! Otherwise I will assign people by chance and Ouija Boards and you'll have to make do. It'll also be easier when you get to the bowling alley to check that you're there and for you to get sst up.

So please do the little things on Thursday morning/afternoon and keep Hutch's three remaining shreds of patience intact.

Looks like there's one spot left on TEAM PINWORMS, so get down to the registration area and sign up!

Hcmom had the high score for the ladies. And I would tell you who had the highest score for the men, but modesty forbids.

Many, many thanks to Hutch and Hokulele for the organization. A fun time was had by all.

My son asked, as we were bowling, "Hey, I wonder who saw people playing this really fun game where you roll a ball to things down and thought, 'You know what would make this REALLY cool? Let's add some ditches on either side!!'"

A great idea

Thanks Hutch for doing the bowling thing. It's a great way to meet people particularly if you are lousy at schmoozing like I am. And yes, sad to say, I really did bowl my average. I hope this becomes a TAM tradition.

Yes, thanks for organizing the event. Since I'm a newbie to the forums, I was the guy with the rather high backswing. I think some people were worried that I'd release the ball backward, but there was no way for all of you to know that I've bowled that way for years :)

It was fun watching hubby and Marquis bowling with Zack, and awesome to have met Keith and Sorren who stepped in we needed replacements! Zack was so sore the next day, having bowled with friends the day before we left. He hadn't bowled since he was very young!

I still want to know the numerological significance of scoring 87-78-87 in 3 games.

Besides the obvious implication that I suck.

I was bowling great, and then Hok cursed me.

I really hate those damn Hawaiian curses...

I was forced to do the turkey dance after bowling three strikes in a row. Photographic evidence of this event is not forthcoming.
