CNN was the first to report that an arrest had been made (hence their claim it was an "exclusive");the other news sources were basically just repeating what CNN claimed.
Yeah, Fox and the others have egg on their face; but not as much as CNN since is their sloppiness on breaking the story without a through check that caused the whole fiasco.

I can only comment on this from a UK perspective. Over the past 40 years or I have have experienced bag searches, pat down searches and sniffer dogs in London. Not only have these happened at large sporting events but also on occasions such as theatre visit (stage or film) and large tourist attractions.
I suppose that the police / security forces think that "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure". I tend to agree with them.

It is not just the UK. Bomb sniffing dogs are SOP at most high profile Public events in the US.

I have not seen the FBI news conference, but I know that some Conspiracy Advocate managed to get into a news conference the Governor of Masschusetts gave yesterday and made a fool of himself. Was it the Same guy....some kook who managed to get himself press credentials?

And Alex Jones is pretty much going 24/7 on Boston Conspiracy Theories now.

And technically, since the FBI is looking for two suspects, it might have been a conspiracy; a normal conspiracy, to be sure, but a conspiracy nonetheless.

You know of all the crap that site puts out the bottom summary is actually tolerable...outlandish as it is...but tolerable.

What does it all mean?

First off, let’s get the attacks of the moron trolls out of the way — people who will say these photos are a “conspiracy theory.”

How are photos of actual people at the event a conspiracy theory?

They aren’t. In real police work, they’re called “evidence,” and the people in these photos should be persons of interest.
