A...........................................B

If you cover your right eye and look at the B with your left, at some distance from the screen, A should disappear.
If you cover your left eye, look at A, B may disappear

Even more fun (now you can get an idea of what I think is fun) is to actually map out your blind spot. Get a piece of paper, put a dot on one side as a fixation point, then take a bit of shiny stuff--foil usually works well--to put right near the tip of a pencil. With eye fixated, move the pencil point (with shiny stuff for visibility) to the approximate location of your blind spot (see demo in initial post). By moving the pencil tip side-to-side and up-and-down, and noting when the tip disappears, you can map out the dimensions of your blind spot. They are not all identical.

...now, wasn't that fun?

That was way more fun than actually stabbing myself in the eye with an rusty knife to actually find the blind spot. Hmm.. looks like a nerve ending.

Yeah, with the mirror in one hand, the knife in the other, I'm just not flexible enough to hold my eyelids open with my toes...so I figured out the other way.

Note. Warning for potential autofoveotomy performers. Do not do this more than once, as the second one can be tricky.
