Now I can finally order Jesus's sidekick, Moses! But why stop there? I've got to get his auxillary warrior team of Solomon, Adam, Job, and David! But no Eve. She was evil.

I like black Moses better than white Moses. In fact, the whole white set just doesn't look like the kind of people you'd find wandering about the desert for thousands of years.

Archie McPhee came out with a Jesus action figure (with posable arms and gliding action) some years ago, and there's now also a deluxe version (with loaves, fishes and jug for turning water into wine). There's also a Moses action figure. Heck, they even have something akin to an Invisible Pink Unicorn.

Actually, McPhee has a whole line of a-typical action figures. I like the Sigmund Freud one.

ETA: Hold on, you can find the entire line-up on the site of the manufacturer, Accoutrements (which is essentially the same company as McPhee's). And they also have an action figure of Pope Innocent III! Of course, some of the skeptics among us might be more interested in the Houdini action figure...

Train Up a Child.com???:wide-eyed

Am I the only one bothered by that terminology? I thought childred were raised or taught... dogs and dancing bears are trained

Maybe brainwashyourkid .com and indoctrinatethemyoung .com were taken?

That said... I need to get some of those... Leia, Arwen, and Jean Grey are getting lonely on my shelf... and I know for a fact that Arwen goes for that long-hair unshaved hippie look :D

Holy crap, I just visualized Moses in a lightsaber duel - not a far fetch, he's like a more grumpy Liam Neeson. ;)

With your user name, I can't say I surprised. Did you see the deluxe version?
And by the way:

A guy walks into a library, goes up to the circulation desk and says, "Can I get a cheeseburger?"
The librarian responds, "Sir, this is a library."
"Oh, I'm so sorry," the guy says, "Can I get a cheeseburger?"

I *own* the deluxe version. In a way, I *am* the deluxe version. :D

And, I really hate to tell you this, but you are the third person on this forum to trot out this joke.

But thanks for the thought.

I've just have to get the Avenging Unicorn Play Set! Complete with Mime, Boss, and New Age Lady figurines that you can impale. Brilliant!

Nice links Euromutt.

I wonder what sort of mind thought this was a good idea?

The text is even better...

This 5-1/4" tall, hard vinyl Obsessive Compulsive Action Figure is worried about whether or not you washed your hands after you used the bathroom. Just in case, he's sure you won't mind if he wears his gloves and surgical mask when he shakes your hand. Or even better, maybe you could just bump elbows with him. Now, as soon as he finishes counting those ceiling tiles, he can get started on alphabetizing the canned foods. Mini surgical mask included. Packaged with a sanitary, hypo-allergenic towelette to clean off the figure before you touch it.

Am I the only one who gets the picture in my mind of a evil little kid out in the sun with a magnifying glass aimed at the Eve action figure?

Yeah, the parting of the Red Sea sounds like something a really powerful Jedi would do...
Use the Force, Moses, use the Force!
