I would be very confident is accusing Sledge and Jack by the hedge of lying when they categorically say that they cannot hear my thoughts simply by what they post. If I am wrong I would give you each $100000. I know my money is safe though.

Yeah, your money is safe. I wouldn't demand a mentally ill person honour a bet they made because of a delusion.

I am curious to know how you rationalise to yourself that what I write means I can hear your thoughts. I can't hear your thoughts. There is no such thing as telepathy. You have schizophrenia, and it makes you believe you are telepathic. You aren't. I'm just down the road from you in Hertfordshire, and I absolutely positively cannot hear your thoughts.

Now, what part of that do you misinterpret as a clue that I'm actually pretending?
If I prove my telepathy is real which I still believe I will, what is the chance of me ever meeting Sledge or Jack by the hedge? Zero in my opinion even if I posted on this forum once I had proven myself to request that they volunteer to take a P300 or other accurate “telepathy test” from any distance with a $100000 apology if I am wrong. Like I said, I know my money is safe, they will either not volunteer to take it or avoid it another way as they know they can hear me and they know they would fail the test.

Seriously, golfy, you have schizophrenia. Telepathy isn't real. There is no such thing as psychic powers. Nopbody can hear your thoughts. You are ill. Your illness makes you believe impossible stuff. Seek professional help. Please.

*OK, I went and looked. I was indeed called a liar. I interpreted it as a figure of speech which we non-delusional folk call a "joke". It's unfortunate that your illness makes you grasp at it as evidence that people can actually hear what you're thinking. They really, really, really can't. Not at all. Nobody can.

I found that too, but there was no need even to google. Golfy signed his name as David in the email he wrote to the JREF, which was posted in page two of this very thread.

Not mind games, golfy, unless you mean that you are fooling yourself. No disagreements there.

Seeing patterns and significance that isn't really there - this, of course, is how golfy managed to convince himself other people could hear his thoughts in the first place. Until he grasps how easily he can be fooled by his pattern-seeking brain, I see no real prospect of ever convincing him otherwise.
 
golfy hasn't posted in two days. This is clear proof that he can hear my thoughts, as just after reading his last post I thought "This guy should really stop posting here."

Yes, I'm hoping seeing a new one might give him a new perspective on this, or get him on some medication which will allow him to see the reality of the situation.

I must ask this: how do you explain the fact that I am able to do my job (teaching bridge) in Dutch, if you are blathering to me in English the whole time? I am very easily distracted, and believe me, if I had someone else's thoughts in English running through my brain, I would never be able to utter one coherent sentence. Still, my pupils seem to be grasping the basics of the card game quite satisfactorily. And if they were lieing (sp?) about my coherence, their play should reveal that.

Obviously, you've been hearing him your whole life (or maybe just his whole life), so you've learned to tune him out for the most part. Unless he's really emphatic about something, like when he was mentally yelling "GO!" at the start of that gran prix, you can ignore him. But, if you've ever bid hearts when it was a bad idea and your partner couldn't support it... that was probably Golfy's fault.

Just thinking. If golfy's claim were true, wouldn't there be some moment in the past when everyone in the world simultaneously found themselves assaulted by baby golfy's (or whatever age he was when this started) thoughts? Surely that would leave it's mark on history?

It was a traumatic event. There were weeks of confusion about what to do about it. Eventually, the true world leaders got together and decided the best course of action was to send out a global mandate to everyone, "Never speak of this, and tell everyone from now on to pretend it isn't happening."

The inexplicable success of M. Night Shyamalan movies can be attributed to the cover-up. he wanted to make a documentary about Golfy. They said he could make fictional movies about even more preposterous ideas and people would go see them instead.
