Re: Re: Asking help from a God inside you...
Well.
As I have posted many times over on the Reader's Digest board forums (here) that deal with spirituality, I consider my spirituality and beliefs to always be in a state of motion. I'm searching for the right answer, and although I have drawn conclusions from the information I currently have, I can see that others have drawn different conclusions from the information they currently have. When I find someone with a different conclusion, the first thing I do is try to figure out whether they are further along the path than I am, or not as far, or on a different path altogether.
Most of the people on the RD forums are way, way further on the path than I am - back at the "The Bible says it, therefore it's true, end of discussion" or Pascal's Wager waypoints. The people on this board (with the exception of a few like II and lifegazer, who are on completely different paths) are closer to where I, as a Deist, am right now. I have gone through the hardcore-atheist phase, so I consider myself (no offense meant to anyone) a few steps ahead of that conclusion.
I have come to the concluion that Cleo is a few steps ahead of me. We agree on 99.7% of everything. What we don't agree on is that where I'd use the word "conscience" or "will", she'd use the phrase "inner God". I see that as more than just a semantic difference. There's a different-entity-involved connotation in "inner God" that there isn't with "will", and I haven't yet considered that.
I now return you to your regularly-scheduled discussion.
