Are You At Odds With . . .

Recently a member of my family screamed at me that I was "Going to burn in Hell"! My reply was simply "Good! That's where I want to go"! He was so dumbfounded that he has not been able to reply in kind.

I was once a Religious Fanatic, then I was Fanatically non religious, and now I'm just a Fanatic without a cause.

I think I was about that young when I realized that these people (the priests) were pulling the wool over my legs. :D I still remember my first confession, the priest was a jerk who didn't hide his disgust at my horrible sins (how horrible can your sins be at that age?). He later ran off with a MARRIED church lady to live in sin.

Damn hypocrite! Most of them are :j2:

The potential conflict caused by baptism is always significant. I suffered the same ordeal with my son. My ultra-Catholic mother even "baptized" my son in an impromptu ceremony that left me pretty angry. She had even gotten the okay from her parish priest, who told her that a priest wasn't necessary for baptism. I actually agreed with him, and went on to assert that a priest isn't necessary PERIOD.

Wow, If anybody "baptized" my kids, they'd never see them again! Not that anything actually happens other than some insane fool trying to convert my family. I wonder what a court would say in a civil case? How much in damages can you sue for illegal baptism?:D

Remind him of his odds

I've had the same thing happen to me, but then I asked him HOW he could be sure he was going to heaven. I started out by asking how many Christians there are in the world (the answer was obviously millions). Then, I asked him how he knew he would be one of the 144,000 allowed into heaven.

Out of the million + Christians who pray daily, live according to the Bible, go to church regularly, try hard not to sin, treat others with respect, kindness and compassion only 144,000 will be cashing in on the big prize! He didn't like it when I asked him if he thought God would choose someone as judgemental as he was to be one of the 144,000. That was the last time he ranted at me!

:D

Ha! That would be better than the Jacko trial.

I think it would be only fair to receive 10% of their annual earnings for life. ;)

Damn addictions... they get you every time. Remember, the first communion is free...

:D :D :D

Yeah, then the prices will be kept low until they know you're hooked! You can see the addicts in neighborhoods on Sundays scoring a dime bag of Eucharist or Grace, which, unless they're really hooked, should be enough to tide them through until next Sunday!
