Application Proposal - Mental Telepathy

Word just in from Western Australian Skeptics, where Dargo agreed to testing!
HEADLINE!! FLASH! FLASH!

*cough* Dargo and friend failed to show up.

The WA Skeptics are both annoyed and disappointed, and have given Dargo a thorough dressing down. More details will follow shortly.

:dl:

Thanks, Zep. I tried to contact WA Skeptics The address I tried seemed invalid. I just re-sent the e-mail to a different address. Looks like you were faster.

Dargo, would you like to comment?

Well, Dargo was here @ 12:34 am today. That is 19 hours ago. He made no comment. Somebody forgot to take basic precautions I suggested before. First prove Dargo's friend existed.

Email to me from the WA Skeptics, whom I thank for their correspondence. I quote:
I promised to keep you up to date on the psychic challengers we communicated about last year.

The date was set (9th March) for the two challengers to be tested by the West Australian Skeptics and our team was fully prepared with video equipment, test materials, etc. Unfortunately, the two challengers, [Dargo] and [Dargo's friend?] did not show up and our evening was wasted. They did not even contact us to say they had changed their minds about attending.

I emailed our disappointment, in no uncertain terms and [Dargo] responded by saying they might challenge again sometime in the future. They will have to convince us to take them seriously if they do decide to undertake any future test.
This speaks for itself...

:dl:

Has anyone heard anything from the woman Dargo communicates with? A few words from her and I will be happy.

Otherwise she may not even exist.

There is a probability that Dargo is yanking our chains. We shall have found out by February 2007.

20 words? Two trials? I predict an honest zero as test result, if they show up at the test.

One critical question. Have you had any contact with Dargo's friend?

No. I have not corresponded with Dargo's friend. Is there a concern you have about this? As far as I'm concerned, it's up to Dargo to get his friend to the test. Any failure on this point would be considered a negative result.

Thankfully,
Gulliver

I agree with your above post. However I am a bit worried she exists only in Dargo's mind. If so you are going to a lot of trouble for nothing. And you have not proved anything. If you contact her, confirm everything with her (she has this ability and will turn up for the test) then I think you need to take this very seriously. Might as well just hand over the money.

What happened was highly predictable. Here are some posts that predicted it. I think we can laugh at the WA sceptics for not demanding an e-mail, at least from Dargo's friend.

FYI, Dargo and his friend were specifically named to the WA Skeptics. I have anonymised their names in my report. Although I have no proof the girl named as "friend" in the WA Skeptics email was the person Dargo was referring to earlier as his testing team-mate, thus the question mark after her name.

From Dargo's response the WA Skeptics' letter: "...[we] might challenge again in the future...".

Dargo: You have let not one (Gulliver), not two, but THREE opportunities (the two WAS tests) for a test slip through your hands. That's a perfect strikeout if I ever saw one. Shamathy mein tuckus.

Thank you for your continued interest.

I'm disappointed. Somehow I would have been more satisfied if he actually tested and failed rather than weaseling out of the test like this. Oh well.:(

A failed (or successful) test would have provided evidence. Obviously.

Not showing up for the test does not provide evidence in the sense of verifiable data. But it does give clues to someone with common sense, doesn't it?

Not showing up for the test without giving notice gives even more clues to determine the probability for the existence of "shamathy". It also provides a good picture of Dargo's and Sharee's character.

Do you wish to comment on your no-show, Dargo?

My uncanny abilities somehow insinuate that Dargo did not take the test.

Should anyone wish to contact me to learn the UA (TM) techniques that will allow YOU! to tap into the untapped UA centres of your brain and make astoundingly accurate predictions of this nature, my rates begin at ten thousand dollars per sucker---er, customer.

Nostrildumass already possesses this "wild talent," and only regrets that he didn't post his prediction, so he could share in the glory of pointing out that Dargo is a flake and troll.

Give Dargo some slack. When is the last time you tried to negotiate city traffic while telepathically linked to another driver on a different road. They are probably both laid up in hospital.

Not in Perth, Western Australia. It's a VERY quiet town! They hardly have enough cars to cause a traffic jam! ;)

At gunpoint, I'd bet on Dargo and Sharee not taking the test on March 9. Again. That's the cynic talking. Some other part in me hopes they'll succeed.

Now it seems like that was the psychic talking. Besides, I'm supposed to be the cynic around here, and I thought he would actually show up (and of course fail). Of course I'm relatively new to this forum, therefore not so wise in the ways of the self-deluded.

Wise enough!:D
