Announcing Drinking Skeptically at TAM8

Pretty sure that's an old floor plan or at least a sketchy one. The web site advertises 3 lounges and 5 bars in the casino, and there aren't that many shown on the floor plan. The Catalina Island Bar existed last year--it had a different selection of draft beer than either Del Mar or Silverado and was sort of on the route between the two, so I stopped by on occasion. :) The Silverado Lounge is just outside the entrances to Don Vito's Italian & the Silverado Steak House, as I recall. Suspect it's just something not pictured. As you wrote--we'll find out.
 
Yeah, the Catalina Island Bar serves the casino floor, there's not really any area to hang out by it.

I called hotel operations the other day and confirmed that the Silverado Lounge is still there and open for our use.

Co-hosted by New York City Skeptics, National Capital Area Skeptics, and Center for Inquiry-Washington, DC, this year's Drinking Skeptically at TAM will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2010 starting at 9:00 PM in the Silverado Lounge of the South Point Hotel & Casino.

There is no charge to attend--whether or not you want to drink, just stop by, get to know your fellow TAM attendees, and enjoy the company of skeptics from all over the world.

Specially designed t-shirts to commemorate this event will be soon be available for pre-order. The price will be $15, and shirts will be available for pickup during TAM registration and at the event (all proceeds will go to support the three co-sponsoring groups).
