Sorry, fictional accounts are usually considered to be "non-enabling disclosures", so you'd probably be out of luck.

But yeah, it is pretty cool. I expect the patent application will cross my desk at some time, as I do most of the optics work here. Unless they classify it as building materials....Hmmm, off I go to check.....

Here's the US Application. No Canadian equivalent yet, but it might show up later, although he filed a few years back, so the likelyhood of it showing up is not so great.

It's too bad that the tested strength of that stuff is only about half of normal concrete. I'm also pretty sure that it would be difficult to reinforce, so the only real application for it would be non-structural stuff like interior partition walls. It's a shame, really.
 
Only if he also has a time machine, so as to provide something invented in about 2003 to the people working in the 60's and 70's.
 
Well, even considering the deminished strength, it could still be used in a number of ways. Certianly not multi-story buildings, but there are many building applications for concrete where 4000psi strength is still more than enough to function safely. Would certianly be interesting in bathrooms, to have a whole wall of this stuff instead of a window of frosted glass....
