Age Survey

I think I got a skewed poll.

Skewed?

You do realize what we have here is an almost textbook representation of a human age curve. As I recall, the same thing happened the last time this question was asked.

Excactly. It suggests that the population on this board is somehow normal. Clearly skewed.

hahaha... well, that's hard to argue with!

It's hard to get these polls on age to be useful. You have to select the correct spread between ages, and because of limited number of options (you forgot planet x!) you have to choose a range of ages that some forum members will exceed.

Frustrating stuff, to be sure.

Trying to be fancy mathematical and clever when defing my age has only caused head aches. Usually I end up with a non-real age, which I suppose is cool in a way, but I prefer the much more straightforward answer that I am approximately:

[(10^1.204119903)/2]^(dingo)

mars years old, where dingo equals the log of ten.

I am enoying my last month of being 36.... 37 just SEEMS a lot older, which I know is completely ridiculous! :jaw:

I'm 266 in dog years. :dogt:

Maybe that's why a psychic once told me I had an old soul. :scorgi

I hate the thought of reading every freakin' nominated TLA whatever it's called. And I shan't vote for Spidey, nor Kelly, not RT, definitely not Dr A., I never liked Hutch, so that's not an option. I've never heard of GodMark2, but might have voted for GodMark1 if they wrote something nominated. David is a wise ass, so he is out. C4ts has a stupider name than I; hence off the list. As for Garrette, the insistence upon a non-conformist font leaves me with no other choice than to cross off that name. "Meg" has decided that "meg" is fine, I do not. She’s off the list. Who’s next?

Of course I was joking, and apologize to Thanz for no mention. Thanz, you used 5 more commas than neccesary, and are ineligable for my vote.

I actually took some time with this. reading and re-reading. My first inclination was to vote for David. I hate a shut out. Next was Garrette. Compassionate words from a kind man. I'd like to know you in the real world. Then KellyJ. She has moved this place, this world, into action that reflects the best of mankind. I'll never be the same. As for Dr. A and Thanz, you're use of language was extrordinary in placing into a context, while a bit offbeat, what is the essence of the ID arguement.

But I voted for Spidey13, and not because I nominated him. In fact, that was a point against him. I'd rather not have. I did so because what he wrote connected so much with my life. I've known the feelings that he expressed, and was cheering for him to get back to that place that he spoke of so eloquently. It may never happen, but I hope it does.

I apologize to those that I did not mention, C4ts, Hutch, Roadtoad, meg, and GodMark2, you were all worthy. Maybe next month.
:)
