About Word Salad

It's really upsetting because often, it makes perfect sense to the salad tosser. In their heads, what they've said is logical.

I had a closed head injury years ago that led to epilepsy, and afterward people told me all about the word substitutions and general hostility. I'm glad I can't recall that time.

Nope, not from memory, at least. Henry IV Part 1 isn't one of the Shakespeare plays I know well enough to rattle off. I do much better on the Tragedies.

Yeah, I know it wasn't one you could rattle off. You misremembered Bottom, undoubtedly from some high school production that got you hot and put the bestiality in yours and other young ladies heads. You read that into the play yourself.

We will see about the Tragedies.

Ive often thought that psych profiles could be done off of the body of a person's internet postings. They aren't quite free-association, but are done only in response to internal forces. Could be quite telling.
.
This happens all the time, especially if the "anal lyzed" poster has been critical of someone's very sacred cow.
And of course, are worth what was paid for them... nothing.

That would be tricky since I've never actually seen Midsummer Night's Dream. Most of my Shakespeare viewing has been at the Ashland festival, the rest is reading or the occasional film*.

Besides, in my high school days it was all about Zeffirelli's Romeo & Juliet, which even got the boys interested with a flash of breast.

But this is slipping away from the topic at hand...

*except for performing in a deeply pathetic production of Macbeth as an emergency fill in. I was supposed to just be crew on that.

If you thought of bestiality juice from Henry IV part 1 you're in for a treat when you get to see A Midsummer Night's Dream. Some guilt free thoughts might start there.

But we all have our weaknesses as you discovered mine with that flash of breast in the Romeo and Juliet movie. They get me every time with that flash of breast.

OK, back to the topic at hand.

I think a recent poster isn't coherent, but it's not exactly word salad, as in schizophrenia, or brain damage.

Maybe it's:
English as second language, and
Immersion in vocabulary of mysticism or esotericism, and
Lack of education, especially science education, and
Resentment (of lots of things, including the powers that be), and
Paranoid tendencies, if not paranoid personality disorder, and
Desire for a grand style, and
Imitation of a scientific or logical style, and
Stress or excitement about posting here.

Nah, Sarah Palin doesn't post here.

They often want... something, I think often they don't know what. Just a desire for something. Since their normal desire/fulfillment abilities are inhibited, they generate a lot of raw emotion.

"They" is an incredibly broad group of people. The people who generate word salad and incomprehensible speech after stroke or some other brain damage are sometimes perfectly able to think like they could before but are unable to understand and/or produce semantically sensible speech.

There are plenty of different types of Aphasia and treating them all as one simple condition is silly to say the least.

There's wrong.
There's very wrong.
There's not even wrong.
There's Hyper salmon quantum custard.
And there's post modernism.

The last is beyond all hope.
The others (and this includes most of us on occasion) are at least correctable , which may help the innocent lurkers, if not always the guilty.

As to whether word salad has recognisable leaf patterns, or scatterings of nuts... beyond the simplest statements, I really doubt it, though the sources of plagio-inspiration may be recognisable, even when garbled.

I image a shopping cart lady on her street corner, with a laptop, and access to a Wifi Account for the most profilic salad shooter currently here.
