Got the following email from the Australian 9/11 truth group for Christmas. Rather than quietly brew over it myself, I thought, "Ah, dammit, it can be my Christmas pressie for the CT forum!"
So, lets see how many fallacies you all can spot...

Hello Truthers,
Thanks firstly for your friendship, and secondly for your honesty for engaging in critical reflection on the most pressing issue of our time.
Many people have told us that justice for 9/11 is not the key to anything important. They have told us we are wasting our time focussing on this single topic when there are so many more important ongoing crises in the world. They have suggested that we do this because it makes us feel important to be in possession of secret information or because we have a childish belief that there must be an all knowing conspiracy behind events which are better explained by incompetence, blind chance and the dumb luck of those who "hate our freedoms".
Some people just don't get it.
Regardless of who actually carried out the attacks, and irrespective of any specific unanswered questions about what happened on that day, 9/11 is the defining myth which shapes our age. It is a symbol and a tool which the power elites are using to bludgeon the western liberal democracies into a new age of slavery.
They are dismantling democracy, and 9/11 is the crowbar.
Naomi Wolf states in her recent book, The End Of America:
So it turns out we really are at war - a long war, a global war, a war for our civilisation.
It is a war to save our democracy .
Each one needs to enlist. We have noone to spare.
Australia is a very different place to the U.S.A. and we recently freed ourselves from a longstanding conservative government, so why am I quoting from Naomi?
Why, instead of feeling like I have been liberated, do I feel like the noose has been tightened?
Maybe it's because the mantra of the war on terror as a pretext for every kind of assault on human dignity is perpetuated day after day by the mass media. Maybe it's because we continue to see political interference in the courts over "terror suspects" - even where no crime has been committed. Two examples are David Hicks, who committed no crime under Australian law, and Dr. Muhammed Haneef who committed no crime at all. Despite having been exonerated by the highest court in the land, Haneef appears to be in the sights of the newly elected Labor Government, which now wants to further toughen the laws to allow them to expel him from the country.
Haneef's "fault" is that he has a cousin who is alleged to be connected to two individuals who were alleged to be responsible for a failed terrorist plot. Since the alleged conspirators are both dead, and in the absence of any media interest in following up on the story, it seems unlikely that we will ever learn any more about the botched Glasgow bombing.
David Hicks is to be put under control orders on his release, any breach of which could see him return to prison for another five years. For David, making a call from a payphone would constitute such a breach.
Maybe it's because of the avalanche of changes in the way our lives are policed, surveilled, restricted and manipulated, but many of us believe that these high profile cases are merely a taste of things to come.
Kevin Rudd has stated that Australia is in Afghanistan "for the long haul" yet no reasons are given. He has also announced plans to train Iraqi soldiers.
Why are we involved in these obnoxious wars? Why is there no public discussion?
The answer rings back loud and clear: 9/11
