9-9-9 seems worse than I orgininally thought

His plan, which I think garnered popularity because of its simplicity and ease of understanding, is becoming increasingly complicated.

So it looks like Cain's platform is 'screw the poor.' I don't know any way to describe it.

"Opportunity Zones" where the minimum wage is abolished? What could go wrong?

Yikes. I didn't know that future phases excluded the prebate. That would mean that eventually, Cain would put in place a sales tax of at least 23% with no exceptions for food, medicine, and medical care. Given that many metropolitan areas have state and local taxes in the neighborhood of 8% to 10%, under the final phase of Cain's brave new world, someone earning $15,000 could have close to $5000 go directly to taxes.

The document envisions Stakeholder Leadership Teams, comprised of entrepreneurs, trade groups, community leaders and church elders, forming in a “respectable number” of zones across America, each responsible for submitting detailed plans to “the highest levels” of the Commerce Department and the White House on how they would reduce “barriers” to economic growth.

By "barriers" I assume they mean the laws and regulations that workers fought for in order to enjoy a better quality of life, a safe work environment, and clean place to raise their families.

Limited federal government, y'all  .

These zones are the weirdest things I've heard in this election. There are plenty of poor people not located in these areas, and many people are now recognising that policies that are designed to help the poor but end up creating ghettos are a practice that we need to move away from.

I think he's trying to target specific areas where large number of poor minorities live. This may be an authentic attempt at "helping a brother out", or it might just be ammunition he can use against the charges of race traitor that have already been leveled against him.

All you need to know about flat taxes:

Don't worry about Cain. If he becomes the Republican nominee, Obama will defeat him handily.

We are in the ecconomic toilet because the wealth has all shifted to the uselss part of the financial sector, so pizza punk thinks that it is a good idea to create areas where it is legal to shift even more of the wealth from the workers to the investors.

Freaking brilliant.

The Minimum Wage law is the cruelest joke of all on the poor, the young, the unemployed preventing them from getting a leg up, getting some experience, and getting out of the welfare hand-out gutter.
Stop that. It is a way to keep the investor class from paying less than what a man needs to live on.

Enormous wealth was created in this country after the minimum wage was invented.

When the republicons started screwing with the concept and moving production to where they didn't have to pay minimum wage, we started the current downward spiral. Learn history.

.All building codes, regulations, restrictions, and requirements should be reviewed from the standpoint of whether they impede economic growth.

Can anyone give me an example of a building code that impedes economic growth?
