Trump’s speech to the Libertarians was a disaster. That was not the typical adoring MAGA crowd. They booed, heckled and pock-pocked him.
 
Apparently, the MAGA crowd (unsuccessfully) attempted to overtake the Libertarian Convention by stealing reserved seats:

The polls may pick likely voters or registered voters. But that is purely on their own info. We have no idea if the polled people vote. The strongest support for Trump is in peoople that never vote.

Trump is not a measurable politician. People answer because they are mad or because they do social media and a poll is just another entertaining quiz to do.
 
There is a flip side to the Lib conference - he shows how tough he is by getting up in front of a hostile crowd.

It will play well with MAGA.

There is nothing that won't play well with them. They believe the nonsense in their heads, not reality, so what actually happens will never, ever matter to them.
 
Hate to say it because my natural sympathies lie more with the Libertarians today than the Republicans, but they are as relevant as the Greens in the US. Why couldn't they get RFK Jr., to run under their banner? Because he correctly perceived that he had more value to them than they had to him. Whom are they going to nominate this time around--Winfield Scott?

That said good on them for booing Trump. At this point in time the heavy hand of the government seems mostly associated with the GOP.
 
It's hard to call the Libertarians a Party - if you are being honest, you can't even call it an ideology, just a general sentiment.

But we absolutely need their voice(s) on all candidates, always.

I don't see how any of RFK's policies are particularly Libertarian. Maybe the anti-tax stuff?
 
yeah he’s supposed to help normal people and make american lives better and i agree their messaging on that is bad. he’s also supposed to handle international diplomacy too.
 
What costs the US less? preventing people going into poverty or running debtor's prisons? the answer isn't difficult.
