yeah, but Trump will be reluctant to spend anything as long as there are plenty of Super-PACs that will do it for him.

Biden will need a lot more money. 4x the amount ---or even 10x....but maybe there is no amount?

Hillary spent 2x what Trump did. Biden needs maybe 4x at this point. Or maybe the money is just wasted because he cant campaign like any semblance of a normal thinking person.

Biden should just bow out and let the rest of the future funds go to the
now anticipated, awaited, and unprecedented 'new person' who will get many 10's of millions in super pumped up excited free media- of every type worldwide- due to it being the best reality show twist EVER. Dont need candidate money to get hype for all that! (Recall that most people are not erudite scholars thinking deeply about presidential election permutations for long term benefits)

.......If not someone new, Trump wins. 100%

Get ready.
Did you get to the part where O'Donnell noted all the times the Democrats replaced the guy they had, the replacement lost every time?

No the total amount of money isn't any kind of sure thing if it isn't spent well. Right now they need to counter that dishonest video that all these evil looking 'brown' men crossing the border that are coming to get you.

And Fox continues to harp on the lie Biden took millions in bribes despite the fact the supposed reliable whistleblower has been arrested for lying. A good ad making out Putin to be the monster he is and all the times Trump showed his loyalty to Biden could go a long way.

Another video showing Trump did not do all the things he now pretends he did, including Biden's current accomplishments would also be good. Maybe The Lincoln Project will help the Democrats with these marketing videos.

Bottom line also noted by O'Donnell is that there is no 'prepared in time' replacement available.

Another point O'Donnell made, no one asking Biden to step down has raised any money for any other potential candidate.

Today, New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu called Donald Trump an "*******."

‘******** come and go’: Trump isn’t the future, Sununu says

The future of the Republican Party isn’t Donald Trump, New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu said Thursday.

“It won’t be his party forever. Right? It just won’t. At some point, Donald Trump won’t be here forever,” Sununu said during POLITICO’s Governors Summit.

Sununu added that he remains “very optimistic” about America’s future.

“Let me put it a different way: ******** come and go. But America is here to stay,” he said.

Ahh, Trump promises.

"We’re gonna have very powerful crime. And you’re gonna be proud of it again!"

*facepalm*

After getting burned on posting what turned out to be a bogus article, I tried to fact check the above quote with no luck. Video is available but is it manipulated? AI?

Is he really that stupid that he would said the below? Yes. But did he? Maybe I'm being too cautious now?

Former President Donald Trump is facing mockery over a video clip that appears to show him promising to bring "very powerful crime" to Washington, D.C.

Trump inadvertently suggested that he would inspire a crime wave in the nation's capital during a "bonus" portion of his Tuesday night Fox News town hall that aired on the conservative news network's The Ingraham Angle on Wednesday night.

"We're going to take over Washington, D.C.," Trump said. "We're going to federalize. We're going to have very powerful crime. And you're going to be proud of it again. We're going to take the graffiti off the beautiful marble columns, the swastikas off the columns, and we're going to make it beautiful again."
A short clip of the moment that ends before the graffiti removal remark quickly circulated on X, formerly Twitter. The reelection campaign of President Joe Biden and a number of Trump critics took the opportunity to ridicule the former president over the gaffe.

Honestly, I find it extremely plausible as the verbal slip-up that it seems to be. It's the kind of thing that's amusing to laugh at, especially given how criminal he is, but not something that I would actually hold against him. There are plenty of actual meaningful things to hold against him, of course.

Looking at more of what he said, it was a gaffe. But the news media treats it as a Trump scandal when they could have said it was a gaffe like Biden's.

Newsweek
"We have people going in from South Carolina," Trump told host Laura Ingraham. "They want to go and see the Washington Monument or something, anything, and they end up getting shot in Washington, D.C. You know it better than anybody, it's dangerous."

"I want to federalize it," he continued. "I want to take it back. We want to clean it, fix the roads. The roads have potholes. I can imagine these leaders coming in ... from other countries, they look at roads that are filthy dirty."
Trivial fantasizing.

He's pushing the crime, be very afraid theme.

I agree.

It's definitely a "pushing the crime, be very afraid theme." As I've always said, conservatism is about fear. Their motto should be: "Be afraid. Be very afraid."

O'Donnell noted Trump's gaffe at minute 3 in tonight's newscast, calling it his cognitive decline, incoherent remarks, and there are more than one:

So CPAC is being its usual self. To quote Jack Posobiec, a speaker there:
Welcome to the end of Democracy. We are here to overthrow it completely. We didn't get all the way on Jan. 6 but we will endeavour to get rid of it.

What a superior contest this is going to be!

One one side, a bloke who's in his 80s, who might be slightly senile, prone to forgetting names, dates and history, and a bloke who's very slightly younger but who is clearly in the deep stages of dementia, which couple nicely with his narcissistic and violent nature.

America: you have a problem.

my question is whether or not any of these guys who had a problem with, say, kaepernick taking a knee have anything to say about this. because this sounds a lot more like something someone who hates america would say than that. and this isn’t even fringe event this is center stage.

It's amazing how some people seem to enjoy this "problem".

Importantly, the "bloke who's in his 80s, who might be slightly senile, prone to forgetting names, dates and history" surrounds himself with advisors and listens to their advice; the bloke who is "very slightly younger but who is clearly in the deep stages of dementia, which couple nicely with his narcissistic and violent nature," surrounds himself will sycophants who only tell him what he wants to hear and ignores those who don't. One supports democracy and the rule of law; the other doesn't.

There is a good reason to want Biden to win, because it is very possible that Democrats won't hold either the House or the Senate next year - a Blue White House would be the only Check on that.
But we have to face the fact that, with a high probability, Biden won't get much done in a second term.

If you are look for more fundamental reform, it would probably be better for Trump and his clown show to crash the economy again.

Here's an idea: If the Democrats can win back the house, they could refuse to certify Trump as the winner on January 6.

But it would be okay, because they would be doing it to save Democracy.

they would just be following the Constitution.
But that only applies when Republicans want it, I know.
