Let's hope this spreads to chiropractors being called to account globally:

I'm not sure what to make of this. At first reading it sounds real but Beck has pulled so many stunts in the past that I'm not willing to give him much slack.
What do you think?
Not sure if this should go here or Current Events.

Back in my early career days, I woke up one morning with The Stiff Neck from Hell. I don't remember if it was from a sport activity, or from straining over a desktop computer too long, or for something completely unrelated. But I could not turn my neck at all: there was a wall of pain between...

First off, I'm not saying EVERYthing that a Chiropractor says or does is real, I'm just stating my experience.
My Chiropractic experience: Written on June 22nd 2012, as experienced on June 21st 2012
As a sceptic, and since I’ve heard that Chiropractors have NO scientific evidence to back up...

Does anyone know of a list of traits that can help a person spot a health-care fraud?
I've been posting in another thread about a "healer" who has sucked in an aunt and uncle (they're beyond help) and my elderly mother with dementia.
Beyond the usual stuff, that he removes space aliens and...
Lordy, where do I begin?
I am literally in a fight for my mother's life. She has dementia (and mobility problems, lots of falls), and I finally had to throw in the towel and put her in a care center. It's been rough. I'm an only child, and it's always been Mom and me.
She has siblings, and...
I need help! I have to write a big essay for my English class and I chose to write about why chiropractic is without foundation and can potentially cause harm. My instructor was immediately resistant to my initial email which contained my thesis and instead of approving or rejecting my thesis...

There was an article on the NHL website today about Sidney Crosby going to a "chiropractic neurologist." For those of you that don't follow North American ice hockey, Crosby is one of the NHL's biggest stars, but he has been sidelined for most of the past two seasons due to post-concussion...
Hopefully it’s not too late to stop this one.

It’s worth noting that one of Phillip Ebrall’s recent papers was inspired by a trip to Disneyland…

I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post this in, but I was just wondering if anyone knows off the top of his head if this is true or not.
Was just watching a L&O episode and the detective told a chiropractor this. Yes, yes, I know L&O is fiction and stuff, but I'm just wondering.
OK, I'm actually considering going to a chiropractor to seek relief for lower back pain. This guy offers a "Spinal Decompression" therapy which looks promising. However, looking round his website, I found this:

I am going to be writing a letter of complaint to the editor about this trash. Please help me by picking one of the many points of nonsense and tearing it apart with references to real evidence.

My local texas recreation center promoting "free screenings" for chiropractic care.
I contacted them asserting there's no science behind chiropractics and received this reply.
What laws prevent this?
A chiropractor was bad mouthing antibiotics on someone's facebook page. He said this after I said it saved my life when I had a really bad case of pneumonia. I showed him the Simon Singh article, and he went CT on me. "Oh, you can't trust any data from the AMA or CDC." Hahaha. Whatever. :)

I just have a quick question that maybe someone can shed some light on. I know someone who often sees a chiropractor for various aches and pains. She said she doesn't allow them to do manual adjustments, but that they use a "clicker" which has the same effect. I did some looking and saw she's...
The RSM has another nice little earner, its Wall of Honour. The deal is, anyone can put anyone else on the Wall, for a fee of GBP2,500. Ker-ching. Hence the appearance of John McTimoney. Mine was the first comment on this entry, which said:
That was on 28th October, and it has just been taken...
Picked this up from a Tweet linking to a blog post by Le Canard Noir:

The Chiropractor's rooms up the road from us have a new sign advertising all the wonderful types of 'treatments' available there.

A Chiropractor came to a group I go to to talk about nutrition and wellness. I'm already familiar with the silliness of it and could start a thread on the usual bunk, but I could see the appeal. He was very personable and open, inviting people to come by his office, use the library of health...
Wow, check this out. This "doctor" can poke people in the head with his fingers and diagnose if they have "unbalanced zones" and then heal them by poking them more and adjusting their spine. I thought that chiropractors were starting to move away from this kind of nonsense...
