Funny, I don't receive many uninformed/misinformed emails, but I got one that regurgitated that nonsense just today.

People in thrall to their beliefs will do just about anything to protect them. The human ego is such a fragile, delicate little thing.

You've been getting a lot of bad information about this case. Allow me to educate you:

A rancher has been using public land to feed his cattle. He has REFUSED to pay the legally mandated fees for this privilege for about 20 years. He's been using lawyers to stave off collectors.

The government SHOULD seize his assets and sell them to pay the debt. He knows this so he's rallied a bunch of hotheaded anti-government theocratic anarchists (Christian Taliban) and Soverign Citizens to come to his aid. These "brave" anarchists then vowed to use women as human shields.

The government has responded to this collection of stupidity by choosing to NOT firebomb a large number of traitors and instead pursue more futile legal action in the courts.

The fact that these anarchists are still alive is, in my opinion, an indication of cowardice on the part of Barack Obama. These worthless anarchist traitors are what drones were designed to deal with.

That can only be done if the targets are not IN the US.
They have protection from unilateral actions against them by the government, while residing here.
It's a long law.. starts with "We, the people of the United States..." .

That happened to me in an exchange with someone on my high school's website - they didn't mention Soros, but informed me that it was a left-wing propaganda mill.

I wonder if Janadele has bought her plane ticket to come to the U.S. and be in the front lines of the "revolutionary" forces in their shootout with the feds?

Damn. you make a good point.

While the Sovereign Citizens have largely rejected their US Citizenship, and they're engaging in armed action against the U.S. government, there are still U. S. Citizens on the ground. Yes, they're engaging in a treasonous military action against the U.S.A., but that's cause for arrest and prosecution, not military action.

I just...

I don't like the fact that sooner or later we'll have to put law enforcement personnel in danger to deal with these anarchists. These wastes of skin aren't worth it. The seized cattle should have been slaughtered and sold to pay his debts, and any more cattle he brings onto federal land should be seized and sold.

Bundy has resisted paying to graze his cattle on federal land because he doesn't recognize the authority of the government to assess those fees. His argument has lost repeatedly in court, but he continues to ignore his responsibility and to defy the law. His malfeasance amounts to the theft of over a million dollars from the American people. Ironically, if his argument prevailed he would be subject to paying the state of Nevada for grazing rights at $15.50 per head of cattle, rather than the federal rate of $1.35. But simple math, like simple logic, is too complicated for these cretins. So instead, they take up arms against their fellow Americans and pretend to defend their twisted misinterpretation of the Constitution.
