I have not been able to confirm this, but one of the former ministers of Sylvia Browne's Church of Novus Spiritus has contacted me and told me that all of the members of Novus Spiritus' Board have either resigned or been fired - with the exception of Michael McLelland (The "Prelate" who was in charge of the faulty/phony "diamond" jewelery).

My contact was not specific as to when this happened, nor the cause, but I find it interesting.

Oh God, say it's not so!

Bad joke aside, quite interesting; wonder if the church will fold or rebuild (infrastructure wise) if this is true.

Did someone peek behind the curtain?

Or see thru all the cigarette smoke?

Oh, one can only hope that Novus Spiritus is sinking. :)

Is there any regulatory reporting requirement that might contain Board membership information that might be online, RSL?

Maybe she realized she just didn't need the hassle of it anymore. Maybe she is having to scale things down.

I guess it's possible they all woke up (except Michael) and recognized things for what they were, but somehow I doubt it (ETA - especially having known the people on the board, most of whom seemed unquestioningly loyal and had been around for ages).

Still, there is that hope.

Of course, Robert has a whole web site that throws the curtain wide open and that didn't seem to take the wind out of any of their sails.

Maybe She told them that the "Great Cataclysm" was rescheduled for 2012?

I wonder if that Cataclysm book is still available to the study groups!

Whose rule is that? Where is it written? Inquiring minds....

In Sylvia's books, for starters. That is the tired chestnut that she trots out ("I can't be psychic about myself!") whenever someone asks her why she apparently failed to foresee something negative in her life (such as each in her series of failed marriages, her felony conviction, and so on.

My applying it to all of novus was an attempt at humor, sorry.

Or why she loses her car keys... or can't find her purse...

Check here

to see whether Novus Spiritus is tax-exempt. If it is, it might have had to file listings of its board.
Good idea. However I went for the 990. You can search for those here http://tfcny.fdncenter.org/990s/990search/esearch.php. Just put Novus Spiritus in the organisation name and you will find they have only submitted returns for 2007 and 2008.

These are http://tfcny.fdncenter.org/990_pdf_archive/208/208399991/208399991_200712_990EZ.pdf

On page 2 are listed the three people who are listed as directors, trustees and key employees. None were paid.
Ellen L Schloss
Fredrick V. Schloss
Tracy Lusk

Now all we need are more up to date names.

Edit. Found this sale. It mentions the first two names http://lasvegas.blockshopper.com/property/17728510018/297_great_duke_avenue/

Also found this http://www.nvannualreport.com/entities-DNPCC-SOCIETY-OF-NOVIS-SPIRITUS-CORPORATION.aspx - Very interesting.
Does the organisation exist after 2007?
