So, here's a table of who is going, so far:
#|Name|Notes
1.|Me|
2.|Me! | Applying for role of Official Event Tweeter
3.|Me too | gofer land for me
I think I will apply for the role of Official Tweeter, again.
Good luck, given the subterranean venue. I never once got signal anywhere near the theater at the first NECSS (held at the same location).
If not, I can bring my own. I got hot spots!Supposedly there is wifi this time.
Hi all. I'm relatively new to the skeptic community and have been lurking for a while. I decided to make an account because I'll be attending this event. It will be my first conference of the sort, and I was wondering what to expect.
How many attendees usually show up for a conference like this? What type of exhibitors are on hand? Do the speakers make themselves available for questions? I have a few books that I'd love to get signed. Do the speakers make themselves available for this at all?
Thanks
You're not the only one who would like him to be there! If Neil deGrasse Tyson was going to be there...
If Neil deGrasse Tyson was going to be there, I would be able to convince CinC House (Commander in Cheif House) that we should go. The current guest list looks great, but it doesn't look like I will be able to make it. Will keep an eye on the list though.
He was there! Just not speaking.![]()
And he didn't stay very long. I think his primary mission was to interview some of the speakers there, for a show of his own. I don't think he was actually attending the conference for the sake of the conference. He was there! Just not speaking.![]()
