StopSylva Email: "Stunned."

I received the following email on StopSylvia today, with a Subject of "Stunned.":

I cannot believe that you and your site are trying to stop the spread of the much needed knowledge and philosophy that Sylvia Browne has worked to provide. It is the fault of such closed-minded and materialistic propaganda that the world cannot and probably will never live in peace and unity. Is it really neccesary to try and STOP the only person left uncensored by the media and government(although they have done a pretty good job of bashing her) just because you refuse to see another side of reality? Or are you, yourselves a part of the obstruction of truth just because you, like many other organizations feel threathened by free-will aspects of the philosophy? What organizations like yourself need to understand is that you can only keep the truth from the people for so long, before good finally overcomes evil and you can no longer feed lies to these people. Your tactics of control and munipulation through the obstruction of truth and spirituality will not overwhelm those of us who do seek something real and refuse to be fed your lies. I know the truth, you know the truth and soon the world will know the truth.
I do wish you the best of luck with your endeavors, though, because i understand that it is a possibility that you, too, have been conditioned to these blasphemic and skeptical ideas. I just hope that you can someday open your mind and soul to the possibility of spirituality without dogma, truth without judgement, and the possibility of freedom without chaos.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with me.

First, I am not an "oganization". I am an individual. Although there are a handful of people who help me with some of my research, The site was created, written and maintained by me alone.

As for my "keeping my mind open", I am ALWAYS open to any evidence that Browne is truly psychic. If you have any such evidence say, an accurate prediction she has made (other than such common sense things such as "there will be an earthquake in California next year"), or a missing person or murder case she helped solve, or was at least mostly right about, please share them with me. I will research them for possible inclusion on the site.

But it sounds, to me at least, that your faith/belief in Browne is largely due to you agreeing/identifying with the philosophy/"world view" that she espouses. But even if that philosophy is correct (which I doubt), the evidence of her "psychic abilities" is, to my knowledge, non-existant. And since those purported abilities are how she claims to have learned about her philosophy, I think those abilities should be examined by a person before they decide to believe the philosophy.

As for my site "obstructing the truth": Can you point to anything I state as fact on the site which is not true, or is inaccurate? If so, please do. I will update the site to reflect any corrections you can substantiate.

Good reply Robert! I doubt that person read anything on your site other than the title.
That person writes as if they have a great deal of emotional and financial investment in good ol' Sylvia.

That person also writes a fairly readable email for being a complete idiot.

I don't think he/she is an idiot. He/she just hasn't thought it through. Perhaps my reply will nudge him/her in that direction.

Wow, that's a lot of censoring! Who knew there is ONLY one person left uncensored by the media and government and that is Sylvia Browne?

Stuff like this makes me absolutely crazy. The power of self delusion and denial is incredible.

I commend you on your polite reply, I think the person will be quite frustrated that you didn't take the bait.

Sometimes they are pleasantly surprised that I reply at all.

Other times they get upset I don't reply with the same kind of invective they had used.

Either way, sometimes they actually learn from the dialog. Sometimes I do, too.
 
Same words, same theme, same naive ignorance

Once again Robert I've had the same exact words sent to me over the past few months via a critical Noreen Renier web site feedback loop.

My responses "originated" according to a Brinkster tracker and also Google to a party near Sacramento, though I've also received a near duplicate from the New York City metro area. Looks like a cut and paste job whenever they feel someone is tearing down the paranormal community. Naive ignorance at its worse --- they can't even customize their complaints. Empty minds.
 
I notice a number of spelling errors in the quote in the OP. Are they in the original?
