Operation Northwoods was a plan. Just because there were enough sane people around back in the early 1960's to shoot down such insanity doesn't mean that in 2001 we had as many sane people around to do as much. Who was sane in the Bush administration? Who wasn't war hungry? Clinton was presented and shot down the same PNAC insanity that Bush was all for.
Colin Powell was hungry for war? George Bush, Mr. "Ugly American" was hungry for war?

You really should do some basic research. With a BS in biology/neurobiology (do they give bs degrees in neurobiology? Seems a bit advanced, but outside of my field so I don't know) you should have basic research skillz.

Now then.
Operation Northwoods NEVER called for killing US citizens. Not once. In fact it was rejected because it was too radical. That should tell you something about the US military.
AS for missing 2.3 trillion... it was talking about how they couldn't account for where their money had been spent. That was because each different department used different accounting software.
And as of 2003 90% of that money had been "found."
Why is it that twoofs have piss poor research skillz?

Actually what is exceptionally interesting is that nearly every "debunker" here is an individual person who has their own life outside of the internet.
Unfortunately it appears that nearly EVERY "truther" who posts here (besides for a few Red Ibis, Bill SMith) are just dirty laundry of previously banned members...

Kudos for him! However, so did the Clinton Administration. They launched cruise missiles at him [OBL] and had covert ops looking for ways to capture or kill him.
Sure did, but the plans were not implemented. We also had the Gulf of Tonkin incident exploited by LBJ to escalate in Vietnam. The CIA ran dirty ops all around the world during the 50's through the 80's to topple other governments. We were in a Cold War and got all kinds of stuff stirred up.
Here is the problem. We know about all of that stuff now because even smaller scale operations like Northwoods eventually leak out. A Democratic POTUS wants to make his Republican predecessor look bad, so stuff gets leaked. In the case of Bush, because of the late transition (remember Sore Loserman in Florida?), many top administration folks were Clinton hold-overs. So are you saying that Bill Clinton planned and executed 9/11?
As I just stated, Rummy was putting the onus on the Clinton folks. "Yeah, I went over the book from the Clinton Pentagon and found a bunch of money missing! Remember all those barf bags his wife cleaned out of AF1? Yeah, I got dirty low down incompetent Clinton for sure!"
A perfect example why stuff does not stay secret very long in D.C.

The point is that Northwoods bears zero resemblence to 9/11, mainly in the fact that much planning was devoted to avoiding injuries and deaths if possible.
Furthermore, you distort. "The only thing that stopped the plans..."?? The military officials were required to bring those plans in front of civillian leaders. That wasn't an "Only Thing", that was the built in check on the power of the military by the civilian leaders. You make it sound like it would've happened save for one, accidental detail. You ignore the fact that the discussion and approval process is what killed it.
Furthermore, you ignore the fact that if Northwoods proves anything, it's that elected governmental authorities are very unwilling to commit to such plans. The rejection was due process, not dumb luck.

It is not ad-hom to say that truthers are distorting the accounting issue that Rumsfeld brought up (yes, accounting; click the link above; the money was not stolen, the spending was not recorded in a way that made auditing possible). It is not an insult to show the facts and highlight the distortion. It is not subjective to use facts to demonstrate the erroneous stories conspiracy peddlers try to push.
