when i was a kid i was convinced there were ghosts in my room, if i set up a camera with the lights off it would record what i had seen referenced on TV as orbs, i eventually realised it was probably dust reflecting the light from the camera, it looked like every other instance of orbs i had ever seen, and i managed to convince people (after i had figured out what it was) that it was indeed some type of ghost

i would imagine a great deal of the "orbs" are nothing more then floating dust reflecting the light from the camera that is recording in a darkened area
 
do you think the author is trying to convince peoople of something or that they really believe what they are writing?
 
Based on the correspondence I've had with the Beans, unfortunately they do believe what they write.
 
As far as I can tell, the Beans site is suggesting that orbs change shape to warn us when we are in danger, not that photographing them is doing them harm.

There is no conflict between science and belief. Science builds from evidence and works toward conclusions. Belief starts with conclusions and looks for evidence to support them.
