Cheney at his best

In post #17, that looks like Madeline Albright in the lower right and James Baker in the lower left. What was this, Old Timer's Day at Cooperstown?

Yeah. A follow-up photo-op with former secs. of Defense and State.

OK. I'm going to take a flyer here. Perhaps you think that because Powell is in the pic, you don't think it's of recent vintage. Is that it? No, that's not it. What then?

I'm saying dick may or may not have fallen asleep at the meeting...a single photo does not demonstrate that.

You however, have fallen asleep at the skeptic wheel, and more than one sequential post proves that.

Don't worry, you'll figure it out. I've been playing you. Take a close look at the photos and you'll get it.

Motto: The politics section is fun because it's almost like a flame forum.
You visit your favorite counter-party forum and find a pic that makes the other side look bad, even though it might well misrepresent the facts.
You post it in jest, but with a serious overtone.
Another member takes advantage of your error.

I hope you've got something better than that. I was under the impression there was something I didn't get here.

Why did their ties change color between the first and second photos posted in this thread? Is "Hypercolor" making a comeback in tie form? I had one of those shirts back in the 80s. They were so cool.

Well, not knowing for sure what you get and what you don't get, I don't know.

It doesn't appear you get it because you said before...

ding.ding.ding.ding.ding

But others got it first.

I seriously want a hypercolor tie now. How dare you?! bastage...

Yeah, I saw Madeline Albright on The Daily Show just a couple of days ago talking about this meeting. According to her, it was just a photo-op. George didn't really want any input from this meeting of minds.

Aha! So looks like Reuters threw in photos from the first time Bush hosted former Defense and State secs. I have checked and they caption photos with May 12, 2006 for both versions of the tie colors. Question is, was Cheney sleeping then or now?

I could claim color-blindness, but I am scrupulously honest.

Ah, come on now.

I was just having a bit of fun. It was your fault for not posting an original link. I used the search terms provided and found an almost identical picture from Jan. I couldn't resist.

Yes, I agree, 1) you are scrupulously honest and 2) not above a bit of ribbing of your fellow differently-abled political posters.

1) I try to be also and 2) Neither am I :)

Huh? What? Oh, um, I was just reading the back of my eyelids.

This is the most fun I've had all week. Thanks, Rob (and Dick)!

Now this is a Dick Cheney I can put my faith in.

If only he had slept 24/7 through the last 5+ years, we may not be in such bad shape today. But seriously, what do you do in this situation? Does Bush give him a little elbow jab? I wonder if he snores?
Hey, don't make fun of Dick.
You know he has a weak heart - for all you know, he might be having coronary fits and GWB is doing some Katrina style CPR on him.
