2. No, it doesn't, but what it does do is show that certain members of the leftie UK government are very selective about what speech is free. Obviously, inciting people to kill Jews, Zionists, white males and policemen is perfectly acceptable, while inciting people to kill immigrants will get you a 31 month jail sentence.

I don't know what you want, smartcooky.
I assumed that you would want the principle of freedom of speech to be upheld consistently, like I do, which is why I oppose arresting people who write nasty stuff about trans people, like Graham Linehan, or the guy who taught his dog to do a Nazi salute, or for elderly people who hold placards saying they support Palestine Action. (I notice you still have no defence of the latter except to repeat the word that support of Palestine Action is "proscribed" which really means nothing other than "forbidden" or "illegal", thus you support all speech except that which is forbidden or illegal which makes a mockery of the concept of freedom of speech).
However, it seems to me that you are trying to have things both ways. You are extremely upset and agitated about people who prosecuted for inciting people to kill immigrants, which to my mind is really pushing the free-speech defence, while apoplectic when it comes to this guy saying similar things. If you find them both abhorrent and not protected speech then say so and we can agree that it is not a free speech issue.
Instead you are back to your typical tribal denunciations of the "lefties" rather than a discussion of principles.

However I am at a loss as to why you are bringing this up as an example of how Britain has lost/losing freedom of speech. Is your post meant to be ironic given he was imprisoned in Egypt because he spoke out against the Egyptian state's use of torture i.e. an example of a country's lack of freedom of speech?
He was granted British citizenship by a right wing government.
Inciting anyone to kill anyone is in the UK a criminal offence to which there is no defence of freedom of expression.

I thought that was abundantly clear. This event has pointed up the obvious double standard when it comes to hate speech in your country.
On the one hand you have Lucy Connolly, who makes a SINGLE post in anger in a response to the Southport riots and the cold blooded murder of three little girls aged six, seven and nine. She thinks better of it and deletes it quickly. But not quickly enough - the ever watchful UK Thought Police know about it. She is arrested and charged with the offence of inciting racial hatred. Gets a 31 month prison sentence.
On the other hand you have Alaa Abd El-Fattah, posting dozens of posts over a period of four years, inciting and indeed, encouraging the murder of Jews, while males and policemen. Never regrets posting any of them - some of them are still up. These are in plain view of the UK Thought Police.... what happened to him? Nothing! Nada! El Zippo! He gets a free pass.
If you don't see this as a doubke standard, then I fell sorry your you.

I condemn killing anyone, so do not support or condone any of these posts. But it doesn't help your case when you exaggerate what he posted.
