Apparently there are several species of owls that live in Palestine, including the good old familier Barn Owl. I think they're more concerned about the lack of an invasive species, the Milk White European Holy Family.

Yes I get that but, A, it looks like a picture on the wall and B, if you could see it through a relatively low ground floor window the star couldn't exactly be above the stable guiding them there, could it?
