Does 'rape culture' accurately describe (many) societies?

Oooh, The Guardian is clear. :dl: As if the article changes the fact that similar porn is ubiquitous and no one is in the dock, much less prison.
Echoing what the article says isn't helping you. Essentially you are sticking two fingers up at the ACTUAL law of the UK and relying on a loophole. You chose to side with the outlaws.

For some as yet unarticulated reason, you demand that that kind of porn is at hand.

I don't care. You keep ignoring reality. Ain't no one going to jail. That's the fact. Wake me when they do. As opposed to your rants that it is illegal.

This is vague L. My citation from The Guardian above is pretty clear. Posters have made it crystal clear they are not happy with the UK's ban. They aren't interested in anything except whether they are over 18.
Siiiiiiigh. I'm stuck in a car wash so you're getting one more try.

Posters have made it crystal clear that in their opinion, 'porn depicting roleplay between consenting adults' and 'content designed to appear to be child sexual abuse' are not the same thing.

I personally can see a problem with edge cases that 'blur the lines' as you say, but 18+ year olds doing a scene where they're in school uniform costumes, pretending to get sexily distracted from studying for their A-levels, is not that.

Do you live in Western Washington? Because that is exactly as it feels like around here. Non stop rain for four days in a row.

And in the UK we have decided they are the same thing (assuming your roleplay is intentionally attempting to portray someone underage). Nobody here has cited anything to the contrary. Drawing attention to the fact that such material is easily available to UK citizens on the internet merely underlines the need to tighten up already existing laws.

Nah, I genuinely can't see how to make my points any clearer. I think they are in fact pretty clear. I'm gonna flounce for now.

I'll come back if you find any evidence that the 'classroom harlots' R18 BBFC rated DVD isn't proof that the BBFC's official opinion is that sixth form student costumes/classroom setting porn is legal on DVD in the UK.

This was unambiguous:

The Guardian (28th June 2025)
Officials at the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) guided her through short clips of extreme material to help her understand the nature of easily available harmful content. She remains disturbed by the material she saw – content designed to appear to be child sexual abuse, set in children’s bedrooms – roles played by young girls, who may be over 18 but are acting as children. “The titles are very problematic, things like: ‘Daddy’s going to come home and give his daughter a good seeing to’ or ‘Oops I’ve gone too far and now she’s dead’ or ‘Kidnap and kill a hooker.’” This content would be prohibited by the BBFC in the offline world, but is unregulated online.

In the meantime, 6 months later, the pornography in question is still available. Maybe, just maybe, at some point they'll make them change the title. Yawn.

You still haven't demonstrated any child abuse or any harm to individuals that comes from watching pornography.

As already noted here, most (UK) child sexual abuse perpetrators are children. The reason for that is that we never normalised sexual exposure? We never allowed virtual child, incest and rape porn? We never allowed the industry to shove this content in the faces of kids?

And, obviously, it is not just children - again, Michael Sheath, former principle practitioner at the UK's Lucy Faithfull Foundation:

He is on the frontline of what experts say is a global crisis in online child abuse. There has been a year-on-year rise in child abuse images found circulating online, and every month 900 children are safeguarded and around 700 men are arrested or visit a police station in connection with indecent images of children.

“If you look at the videos on mainstream porn sites you can see ‘teen’ themes, ‘mom and son’ themes, lots of incestuous porn. It’s pretty deviant stuff. To watch this you have already lowered your threshold of what is acceptable. Porn is an entry drug for a lot of them.”

Stop faking innocence acbytesla. Anyone who has or is watching porn is to blame.

......I at least have watched some "barely legal" porn (for the intended purpose rather than to pick at things to complain about)....
Do that in the UK you'll be put in prison.

It is illegal to produce or consume any pornography in the UK that depicts the participants as being under 18 regardless of actual age. You face up to 10 years in prison and heavy fines. You will be on the "sex offenders" list for the rest of your life.

Don't neglect to read the important part there: legal and regulated. I certainly do have major problems with sex trafficking, forced prostitution, and nonconsensual and underage sexual activity. If you dare misrepresent me on that I will come down on you like a ton of bricks. Metaphorical bricks, delivered over the internet. I guess.
...........
Sounds hollow now given your advocacy of 'underage' role play porn.
