Trump's US Threat to Greenland (which belongs to Denmark)

... if Trump want Greenland, and the Grønlændere don’t want a deal with him, then the president of the United States can go screw himself.
Of course, but the 50 or 60 Greenlanders I've met in Danmark (and claim to be representative of Greenland's population as a whole) want nothing to do with Mette Frederiksen and they say they prefer to be part of Donald Trump's USA. Obviously , no one knows if JD Vance will be in the White House after Trump's term or even if Vance will follow in Trump's footsteps, so as always the long term is uncertain. I didn't discuss the Danish Royal Family with them but those have no bearing on Danmarks future anyway. So, the bottom line is that there is a more-than-likely chance that Greenland is more optimistic to joining the US ..... than not. Hej Grønland!🇬🇱

They actually have no right whatsoever. According to internal law - and previous treaties with the U.S. - it belongs to Denmark. As it happens, Denmark recognises the right of Greenland to become independent - a right that I doubt the U.S. would grant to any current state.

Are you, by the way, one of those agents sent to dig up support among Greenlanders?

There was an election recently, in case you didn’t notice it, and the overwhelming majority voted for parties that would have nothing to do with Trump or Vance whatsoever. Considering the small size of the Greenlandic population, it seems that you have managed to meet all of Trump‘s supporters, and they were all in Copenhagen.

Why are you all ignoring the Elephant in the room?

Trump is paranoid because annually a covert hypersonic smuggling mission is launched from Greenland that overflies the US and has proved impossible to intercept. He is after this technology, and to ensure tariffs are paid by all the good little girls and boys.

He probably also wants the North Pole for display outside of the White House.
This is certainly consistent with his war on dolls, where he intends to deport millions of dolls to Salvadorean megaprison. I haven't checked his figures but his declared intent is to cut the number of dolls being harboured by American girls up to 15 from around 30 each to just 2.

Clutch Cargo has evidently given up on all relevant references to reality and is making it up as he goes along:

Fifty or sixty Greenlanders came up to me, big Greenlanders, strong Greenlanders, claiming to be representative of Greenland's population as a whole, with tears in their eyes, and said, "Sir, Sir, we thank you for your effort to report on our behalf the wishes of all Greenlanders. We want nothing to do with Denmark and its prime minister Mette Frederiksen and instead want to become a part of Donald Trump's USA.
Those poll numbers that you have seen have nothing to do with what Greenlanders want.
We trust you to report to the world of international skepticism the truth and nothing but the truth. Anything else you may hear that hasn't been approved by Donald Trump is lies made up by the fake-stream media.

Clutch Cargo's posts are a ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ waste of time and life. I don't understand why he is allowed to derail thread after thread.

Yes. Most people have probably met more than fifty or sixty Greenlanders.

Indeed.

If Trump wants Greenland so badly then he should offer it full statehood (including 2 Senators and 3 EC votes) so that it enjoys the same protection under the constitution as the other states. (Trump doesn't want that at all of course).

VERY INTERESTING

* Hawaii and Greenland are roughly the same distance from the US.

* Greenland is part of North America, Hawaii is not.

* Hawaii is a US state, Greenland is not ….. but it could become one as long as both governments come to an agreement.

Greenland wants nothing to do with the USA.
