NY Times Poll: Large Majority of DEMOCRATS Oppose Transgenders in Women's Sports

Lol no one wants to end gay marriage libtard. Anyway, here's why I think gay marriage should be ended.
You've completely misread my reply. I didn't say no one wants to end gay marriage. I was responding the claim that banning transgenders from female sports would be the first step in repealing "marriage equality," i.e., same-sex marriage.

you're confusing sex with gender
He's using the word "woman" to mean person of female sex. In context this was not confusing at all. If your objection is that you want that word to be reserved for a different meaning then say that instead of telling him he's confused.

My position is I couldn't care less.
Then don't participate in the discussion, because other people do care.
It is only an issue because right-wingers know they have absolutely nothing to offer the American people outside of an "other" to attack.
I somehow doubt the female athletes who are losing competitions to biological males think that this is all just right wing noise.
Even the OP admitted this is just a way to roll back same sex marriage.
The OP is wrong about that. Seriously wrong about it. That isn't what the OP said (I shouldn't have taken your word for it, lesson learned). Nor does it matter, because it's not going to happen. Did you know that Trump was in favor of gay marriage before Obama was?
And lets not pretend interracial marriages aren't on the list.
We don't have to pretend. They aren't.

Of course, I'm talking about when they were in their prime, and I would've paid money to see that.

I don't think Larry would've had it as easy as some folks think.

I've seen them both play, live and in person, and I could see Sue kicking his a*** or at least holding her own.

In that case, you're hopelessly naive.

No hate or stupidity required; sports are segregated by sex for a very good reason.

Unfortunately, one of the major reasons is money, but I'd actually pay good money to see Caitlyn Clark go up against anyone in the NBA.

Money has little to do with it. The issue is fairness, which is why sports are segregated by sex in the first place. Why do you think nobody is complaining about transmen (i.e. women) in men's sports? Because they haven't a hope in hell of being able to compete, whereas even mediocre men would blow away the competition in women's sports. You can compare times in individual sports such as running, cycling, etc, and see where the best, gold medal-winning women would rank among the men.

It's really not even close. Remember the US women's soccer team (among the very best in the world) would practice against high school boys teams and get blown away with monster scores.

If you say so... bwahahahahahaha

Now who's naive?

It's important to know WHICH sports people are expressing opinions on.

I feel sorry for trans women who are barred from competing in Athletics because there isn't a category for them at events.

I don't think they should compete against women (I'm a runner, and I know that men are almost always faster than women due to muscle composition, heart and lung size, etc), but I don't know what the solution is.

Some sports may find men and women more comparable in performance but I haven't researched anything other than running.

It seems like the sexist believe ANY man can beat ANY woman in ANY sport, and that's the major reason why I'm on the fence about trans in sports, because I don't believe that's true for every individual or sport, and I would pay good money to see Caitlin Clark (Indiana Fever, WNBA) compete against any regular NBA player, but some folks seem to think that wouldn't work or would be a disaster. I don't agree.

I also don't see any reason why women and men can't at least compete against each other in tennis.

I'd also like to see women in MLB.

Otherwise, I don't have any real solutions either.

Nobody here believes than any man can beat any woman in any sport; that would be silly. Caitlin would whip me and probably most men in one-on-one basketball. But current NBA players? Not on your life.

That's because not one man in the NBA has the balls to try it.

Can you imagine what the other players would say if she beat them.
