Ability to hide avatars?

I do have to say I prefer the previous display. User name on top and (smaller) avatar underneath. I instantly identify a member by their name, which never changes. Avatars can change on a whim and it takes getting used to when they do. Not to mention, many avatars are similar.

This is the default Xenfora style. Never looked into this when I last played with Xenfora but in principle it should be possible.

Personal note: For me this way works better as for some reason the name seems more attached to the post than in the old vBulletin style.

Personally, I like avatars. I find it easier to identify posters by avatar than by name. But it's good to have the option.

This is called aspect ratio. The avatars are all square... aspect ratio 1:1 - you can't put an image with a rectangular aspect ratio into a 1:1 slot without cropping. If your full avatar is, for example 4:3L (landscape) then it either has to be cropped left or right or both, or the slot has to be widened to 4:3. That will widen the whole information panel for everyone... then what if someone has an image 3:4P (portrait) they want to use as an avatar? Theirs would have to be much smaller to fit into the 4:3L slot.
