Hillary Herds Reporters With Rope

I keep finding myself reading these threads which are meant to be demonstrating that she has done something bad and not understanding what she is meant to have done that is bad or wrong or otherwise negative.

In this case what is it that she (or rather I'm assuming her team) is meant to have done that is bad/wrong/negative?

Oh oh - someone's bubble is about to get popped.

Same as the last time that she went several weeks without addressing the Nation, she incompetently took a few questions, gave non-responsive answers and went back into her shell.

People start pointing out that she is Bubble Woman again, her staff goes into crisis mode, slap some lipstick on the pig and she toddles off to an exclusive one on one with an anointed reporter.

Rinse, repeat, and the fans go wild, not noticing that Hillary's inability to communicate is getting worse and worse every election cycle. Shes been surrounded by fawning sycophants for so long, it seems like her "human" mode is broken.

"People"??

WHO?

If I may chime in …

Early on, many stupid, idiotic, lying Republicans have found it difficult to criticize Obama because they were afraid of being publicly labeled as being racists, even though they were privately quite racist. So what they did was say crazy things like ‘Obama is Muslim’, ‘Obama is not a Christian’, ‘Obama was born in Kenya’, ‘Obama is a liar’, and so on.

Now, one is seeing a similar pattern with Hillary.

Accordingly, many of these same stupid, idiotic, lying Republicans pretend to hate Hillary for ‘Benghazi’, ‘having a private e-mail server’, or ‘poor handling of the press’ but the real reason they hate her is because she is a woman who actually has a good chance of actually becoming the President.

after several weeks of avoiding the press, her staff used a rope to physically corral the press in order to “physically block journalists from getting too close to the candidate,” according to The Washington Post. The journalists were kept “mostly out of earshot of Clinton’s interactions in this rural, working-class community.”

She came out looking weak, ineffectual and out of touch, not to say terrified of the press. Now three months after announcing, she is sitting down for a one on one, while Bernie Sanders is playing the press like a fiddle.

She is running an aloof campaign, and is getting pilloried for it, by the press by her opponents and now her own staff.

Exactly. They can't attack her on her policy proposals and real issues, so they are fabricating scandals. It's really pathetic.

The GOP knows they are going to have an uphill battle against Hillary, and at this point it is her race to lose. So strategically, it makes a lot of sense for GOP candidates to be going full-out already this far ahead of the election. They need to raise funds; in fact they need to COMPETE for funds; and they need to find talking points that resonate with the voters better than Hillary's.

And I think it makes sense for Hillary not to be going full-out yet. There is plenty of time still; and her funds will be better used once the opponent field is smaller and her points of weakness and vulnerability have been found by her opponents. And I mean the weaknesses and vulnerabilities that are verified by public opinion, not the ones that pop after a couple weeks of frenzy.

So it's not that she's really done anything wrong in her campaigning. It's that the GOP candidates are proceeding in their campaigning differently than Hillary is. And a good talking point for the GOP has always been that different equals bad. Plus, by not speaking more, it doesn't give the GOP the handholds they need to raise issues and compete for funds.

But it's all pretty silly, as if anyone will remember corralgate in a year. Or in a month.

July 2015: and the "sexism" card gets dealt. Utter failure.

By "stupid, idiotic, lying Republicans." You know, the ones that run CNN and WaPo.

:D:D

I'm still wondering what's wrong with that. She was marching in a small town parade. They used a rope to keep reporters from swarming her.

Weak, ineffectual, out of touch and terrified is in the eye of the beholder. If, for instance, you're someone who starting blaming the administration for Americans being killed by terrorists only after a Democrat became president, then you might also think all these ridiculous things about Clinton.

The hilarious thing is that it is not the boogey man "Republicans" who are calling her out on her Bubble Ways, it is the press.

It is not the "Republicans" she is worried about to cause her to dip her toes outside the bubble, it is Bernie Sanders.

"stupid, idiotic, lying Republicans." What passes for reasoned discussion from the Hillary Camp around here, what a laugh.

Yeah. The press. So what? That was already explained to you. They sell content, and Clinton stories sell.

If the threat from Bernie causes Clinton to change her campaign tactics, there's nothing wrong with that. I won't mind. I was never happy with her alleged invincibility. But I'm pretty sure that whatever he campaign does, it won't make the press love her for who she is.

16.5 it's not even a top 10 story today.

Yet, her people keep posting in this thread and playing the "sexist" and "stupid, idiotic, lying Republicans" cards in a desperate and hilarious attempt to defend her, which are definitely Top Ten in my book of hilarity!

What the heck does that have to do with the news?! Your attempt to be clever has backfired.
