I was recently looking for new health insurance but the plans I was sent contained homeopathy and other woo-woo options that, frankly, got me a bit annoyed, so I sent this email (a bit blunt and not too well written, but I was miffed):
I expected little or no response but got this:
So...Something of a success, but may need a bit of follow-up.
May I suggest you all do similar, and maybe someone a little more capable than I could write a draft grumble letter (similar to my email, that we could all use.
The sooner insurance companies stop supporting these hoaxers, the sooner we can starve them of funding.
If any of you have similar/better successes…let’s hear about them.
I have just read what you sent me and notice that you have an option for medical cover for treatments that have zero evidence that they work such as homeopathy. If these insurance companies have any evidence that they work I suggest they collect a million dollars at the James Randi Education Foundation, details here: http://www.randi.org
I am hesitant to use companies that support these charlatans as my premium will be elevated because of this. I was interested in the premium plan but it contains this woo-woo medicine option. I don't want it and want my premiums reduced because of support for it.
Let me know what you can do.
Thank you

Thank you for your recent email and have noted your comments. There is a plan that does not cover homeopathy with a company named xxxxxxxxx, although they have other plans on offer which some do cover homeopathy, with the "Lifestyle" plan they have different underwriters, therefore homeopathy is not covered at all, as the "Lifestyle" plan is the only plan they have with these underwriters. Please find attached my full benefit master which shows a few of our plans on offer including the "Lifestyle" plan.
If you would like any further information with regards to this plan please do not hesitate to contact me.
Warm regards
